Fellow Gamers

So, I have done three mods for PITF (Vietnam, IDF and North Korea) and one mod for GTC (RTC).  I am headed out for travel again this week and though I have college homework to attend to, I may have some time to work another mod in.  What would you like to see for PITF or GTC?

A Finnish Mod for gtc, perhaps an early continuation war mod with the Finnish forces advancing?
Great work so far btw.

What about Kreta mod? You could probably port that. Or, you could:

1: Port an existing mod

2: Create a mod which is set in WW2, maybe in the Italian era or the Finnish, or even Sevestapol, in Russia

Good post comrade;)

Well..i done the stratmap.complete for DESERT STORM 1991 and FALLUJAH CITY.

For me always i.would like play BATTLE FOR FALLUJAH.

I think that this idea contains STRONG for a mod...USMC versus islamics extremist...ten days for the operation...and a new and real scenario.

WOW...thanks for the all the feedback!  DAK_Legion, I should have known what you would want to see!!  HogansHeros...I looked upon Operation Anvil/Dragoon...that one appeals to me. I was also thinking of a winter type of war, so the Finnish Mod or Battle of the Bulge also sound good.

Since I won't have my home computer with me, I'll look at the ideas.  Keep one thing in mind... I will not have my files available to me. And, I do not do maps; I am not that artistic, and I do not have that much patience or knowledge!

If I have the time, and decide on a theme, I will keep you all updated.

Again, thanks for all your feedback!

Isis.

Iraq war. (BATTLE FOR FALLUJAH good idea)

Afghanistan.

Cuban revolution.

Second Japanese-Sino war.

Second Italian-Ethiopian war.

Harry Turtle dove alternative history mod. Based off the book.
Settling Accounts: Return Engagement
-Morman militia vs USA
Or Confederate states of America vs United states of America drive to Pittsburgh.
Settling Accounts: Drive to the East

Iwo Jima. (will be a epic challenge for the game engine)

Burma ww2.

Crete

Monte Casino, Anzio or Italian front.

War in New Guinea. Especially Australians effort.

Philippians, siapan, Tarawa.

Battle of Ia Drang. Vietnam.
Or the most decisive largest battle between french and Vietnamese.

You really need someone to make maps for you.
I would all most make a plea.

You mentioned a Winter Mod.

One could always take the best from Jagers Stalingrad Mods and do something better.
I never liked the strategic maps he made but the actual playing maps were very nicely done.

I would love a Battle of the Bulge Mod,but not a rehashed one with the same maps.

Not trying to troll on you PM..

The Stalingrad series by Pzrjager were/are some of the finest mods for any of the CC series ever released. Shame nobody ever converted them to any of the newer releases, slight issues and all (strat map, serious lack of supplies for axis post der kessel, etc..)

That series would have seemed to been a prime candidate for conversion for one of the newer releases.

Please get the hell out of Europe.  Wink

East Front, Far East Front, WW1, etc.

Anything post 1950 I'll ignore, as with hitting the beaches in Normandy, Ardennes, or the Ruhr, etc. Its all been done to death.

I think not being able to make maps is a disadvantage.  So...

Thanks for creating this guide DAK!

Has anyone ever thought of making a battle of Narvik mod?

Could be cool:
German side:
Kriegsmarine soldiers from sunken ships as infantry
Gebirgsjager
Fallschirmjager

Allied side:
British forces
Polish alpine forces
Norwegian forces
French alpine forces and foreign legion too I believe

Its a good idea to use already existing maps.

Obviously it would need to cover the land battle. Even if it needs to be hypothetical.

Since new maps are not an option I would think you would need to do a conversion or eastern front mod (since there are a lot of maps available from CC3 and mods)....

Yes, 50's korean mod would be interesting, I would love to see m2 carbine full auto against ppsh-41. Besides, I would also like to see british against japan, say a malaya campaign...

Kokoda Track
1 small battle groups...  easily worn down
2 infantry only (mostly)
3 small maps high AI aggression
4 fits a small strat map
5 a thrust and parry battle for both sides

+1 it would be a very small scale battle, lots of cover and some small villages to hold/capture

Are there maps for it?

Excellent idea. Also, Crete and others where good soldiers were lost because of bad leadership. CC could become a great platform for serious alternate history buffs.

Percival's failures are legend. "British Prime Minister Winston Churchill called the ignominious fall of Singapore to the Japanese the "worst disaster" and "largest capitulation" in British military history"

I'd bet that everyone on this forum could have done a better job.

Even it was just a demo, Surabaya mod was great in terms of weapon variety, theater location and street battle map. Too bad, never came out in full version.

another idea is operation arctic foxhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Arctic_Fox

-small forces 4-5 Divs a side
-limited armour and light armour
-armour defeating terrain - swamps etc

though to be honest you'd need to find out if Steve was right and PitF can accept more than 36 maps

Why? Is it possible that the last two versiond Pitf and Gtc are limited in the number of maps? Was it not 64?

As mentioned by other, a conversion and update of der Kessel mods of PzJager would be awesome! It has wonderful maps, my favorite maps in all the CC mods so far.

As far as I'm aware they should be able to take 64 but thats unproven and untested
