Well, I've had it running at 98% and it still hasn't made a difference.

I've got dual intels at 4400.

Is that it then? I'll just have to use the arrow keys yeah?

All work fine with new sysytems.

The other thing to try for the older CC's is give CCStarter v201 a run and see how that goes.

That did seem to help a little.

Now I can't find where I installed it. lol

I also let the directdraw run because it didn't run before when disabled. Was that the thing to do?

"can't access surface for lock" was the message I got when it was disabled
