Unit Guide - German 5cm PaK 38

ger5cmPaK38

Battlegroup Name: Light AT Gun
Turret Class: N/A
Turret Type: N/A
Crew: 4
Speed: Very Slow
Weight: 2,147 lb. (986 kg)
Engine: N/A
Schürzen: No

This was the primary light anti-tank gun for the German army. Entering the field in 1941, these guns provided infantry units with modest anti-tank capabilities. The 5cm shell packed enough punch to disable light tanks at medium ranges.
Using this gun in close quarters helps to negate the limitations of its smaller caliber shell. Be sure to keep this unit well concealed. Once its position is discovered, they become very vulnerable to enemy fire. These guns carry both armor piercing and high explosive rounds making them an effective cross-weapons platform. Keeping a command crew nearby will improve the performance of this unit.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
