Unit Guide - German AT Armoured Car

gerATarmoredcar

Battlegroup Name: AT Car
Turret Class: Open Top
Turret Type: Rotating
Crew: 4
Speed: 50 mph (80 km/h)
Weight: 22,000 lb. (10,000 kg)
Engine: Tatra 103, 220 hp, diesel
Schürzen: No

This armored car was based on the Puma chassis with two major modifications. Namely, thinner armor and the replacement of the main gun for a 2cm 38L/55. The resulting SdKfz 234/1 armored car was an economical choice to fill the roll of a light patrol vehicle.
Because the SdKfz 234/1 has a smaller main gun than the Puma, reserve this unit for use against infantry and the securing of remote victory locations. If you are pursuing a war of attrition this makes for a good sacrifice vehicle. Using it as a decoy while you engage the enemy from the flanks isn't a bad idea.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
