Unit Guide - US M20

usM20

Battlegroup Name: AT Car
Turret Class: Open Top
Turret Type: Rotating
Crew: 4
Speed: 55 mph (88 km/h)
Weight: 15,520 lb. (7,054 kg)
Engine: 6 cylinder Hercules JXD, 110 hp, gasoline

Essentially a modified M8, the M20 lacked the main gun afforded to the Greyhound. The M20 served primarily as a command car for all the Allied armies. When deployed with tank destroyer teams, the M20 served as an observation post. After the war, the M20 remained in Europe assigned primarily to the U.S. military police.
Lacking the main gun of the Greyhound, keep the M20 grouped with the infantry. There it can serve as a light defensive vehicle. While the M20 still retains a bazooka for self-defense, they are only effective at very close ranges. In a way, you can think of the M20 as a very mobile machinegun/bazooka team. However, since the M20 is a vehicle, it doesn't receive any of the concealment bonuses that infantry teams do.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
