About Kuzminov: a deserter during war (especially if his defection caused the killing of 2 crewmates) deserves capital punishment in any army.

Although some sources say that his death was not official but work of criminals: Kuzminov went to hide in an area of Spain where there are a lot of Russian mobsters living.

In any case, the widows of his two crewmates surely have some consolation.

Until now, US aid is mostly military while EU aid is mostly financial, supporting the payrolls of the Ukrainian state.

The UN link is about vessel movements.

Poland, Hungary and Slovakia vetoed Ukrainian grain movements inside their territory. So now Ukraine can export agricultural products only by sea or through Rumania.

Slovakia, Poland and Hungary banned Ukrainian grain imports

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-04-17/slovakia-is-latest-eu-nation-to-ban-ukraine-grain-amid-glut?leadSource=uverify%20wall

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2023/4/17/hungary-threatens-to-extend-ban-on-ukrainian-grain

It seems the Ukrainian grain, instead of going to feed Africa after EU lifted tariffs on Ukrainian products, remained in those countries to speculate, annoying local farmers.

Well, another shot in the foot of the EU and less income in Kiev to sustain the war.

But Banderites still have a chance to win the war...

...in a video game.

That reminds me of the case of that British soldier who revealed secret data about the Challenger tank in a World of Tanks forum. In order to win an argument on the internet, there are people who risk everything.

We are all fans of extreme realism and accuracy, but it is safer to want it in ww2 games.

A pro-Russian mole inside US intel? Leak by Ukraine to increase the Western weapons influx? Or deception like Operation Mincemeat? Who knows.

ScnelleMeyer,

Good news, just wanted to let you know I was finally able to download it using the cloud.mail link above. I tried that link above a couple of days ago and could not get it to work so I don't know why it suddenly started working.

Because you previously must click a disclaimer that enables the download. I downloaded the supervetmods from mail.cloud (after automatic translating from Russian). If anyone has troubles with mail.cloud or mediafire I can upload the files to another uploading
site.

Here's the supervetmods mediafire link

My opinion is that in every country (and the form of government does not matter: one-party dictatorship or liberal democracy, monarchy or republic) there is a ruling class. The moment you endanger the interests of that class, prepare for the worst.

That being said, I don't want to discuss politics but rather the strategies of each side and how they conduct the war.

Seems Bakhmut is nearly encircled.

But my guess is Ukrainian forces will not be trapped, they will retreat before.

I consider it already "lost" but tactically it's like Stalingrad meat grinder.

Ukraine can't win a war of attrition against Russia. Holding Bakhmut makes sense if UKR is trying to gain time for future offensives and prevent an open road to Slaviansk and Kramatorsk.

Quote:
China is now supplying weapons and body armor via Middle East middleman to evade sanctions

This is the first time I've read this, but if it's true that China was involved (which I don't believe) then Ukraine is doomed. Well Ukraine is already doomed, only more so.

International Criminal Court warrant arrest for Putin. Funny because neither Russia, Ukraine or USA are part of ICC Treaty. I dont know if Russia also has a Hague Invasion Act.

Russian forces tight the rope around Avdiivka and Bakhmut.

Zelenski insists that Bakhmut must be hold, despite objections of Ukrainian CiC Zaluzhnyi. Classical dilemma between political and military imperatives.

US drone downed by Russian planes over Black Sea. Will be recovered and reverse engineered by RU?

Rumors of ukrainian future offensive around Zaporizhie, probably trying to cut in half the russian controlled territory and isolate Crimea.

Viktor Yanukovych was democratically elected and he was deposed by a coup one year before his mandate expired.

I realize that a part of Ukrainians don't want to be a part of Russia and they want closer ties with the West. Hope you realize theres also a part of ukrainians who just want the opposite.

I don't think it will be long before Bakhmut falls into Russian hands. Next step will be to capture Sloviansk and Kramatorsk.

Maybe the Ukrainian government will collapse like Germany in 1918, but this is my partisan wish.

Meanwhile it appears that Bakmut will be Phyric victor for Wagner all out offensive.  However Russia lost 130 tanks at Vuledhar very costly defeat after failed attack.  It appears Russia made bad mistakes with little or no infantry support made easy targets for ambush.  Can't understand what Russia is doing, still appears to serious issues with dysfunctional command and Putin meddling creating a climate of fear in leadership.
