I played lorman in the Amfreville battle. I had to take Allies as my opponent refused to. Take this as an exception. I did my very best and managed to secure the VL's "to La Fiere" and another one adjacent to it though my DZ was far north.

File attached!

I hereby block the GC and will post the Save Game when finished!

EDIT: I played RD_DeathDealer! Unfortunately, and due to my overworked brain I took the wrong saved game and we fought the battles that have already taken place...La Fiere and Amfreville. Stupid, Stupid... Rolling Eyes So no upload here!
Dang!

EDIT EDIT: Please note that the Saved Games are found in the OnGroundFX folder when you have the sound mod installed!!!! That's why I took the wrong file!!!

Wouldn't it be an idea that if someone picks up the save game he just leaves a note in the forums. So, the game is "blocked"...I liked the idea of making teams for Axis and Allies and have this GC fought h2h...as the AI is no real deal for any passionate player...

Question if I am the only person who has such problems. I cannot also see bloody flashes from muzzles when I am guest at H2H and everybody else seems to see them...

No, you are not the only person. It has been recognized by schrecken. It is under investigation Smile I think this is the only real bug in tLD. It is strange that since CC3 was released this bug has never been addressed. Is it so difficult to iron out or was it just an oversight. Confused Or is it because these games are "just" rereleases and can't be modified to this extent? Id love to see this bug gone Razz

After having played several battles, ops and the first round of a GC (the latter h2h) I am really impressed by the atmosphere this games conveys. The night battles, the strategic map, the numerous strategic options, the features like different sizes of BGs and some more arre very nice... To me the best wargame I have ever played. And you may rest assured, I have played a lot of wargames and "so called" wargames. I have to thank everybody helping to keep the CC series alive as they once again turn out to be my fav computer games. Tough I have to agree that WaR was a somewhat unfinished product when released. I hope there will be a patch for this game that irons out the last issues (coding etc.). However, back to TLD. I am really looking forward to the first mods of this game...

Ah, one thing...there is an issue with Airborne groups not moving from contested maps during first two turns. Is this a bug or a feature?

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
