PostForum: Close Combat The Longest Day   Posted: Thu Jun 02, 2016 10:39 pm   Subject: Re: TLD Battle for Tunisia Mod v.1.0
I finished the GC with the Germans.
It seemed that none of my teams ever got winded or fatigued (bad install?)

I didn't find it easy to get LOS on the maps I played on.
One of the last battles I had to almost run over the allied troops with my tanks to kill them.
When I started I expected to have easy LOS on the open maps.

Otherwise interesting mod, with a lot of stuff I'm not used to.
Like the totally different use of walls and doors of the buildings.
Sometimes it was very difficult to see that there was a dent in the map or that it was a hight.
I once had that one of my tanks seemed to be upside down against a ceiling.

And one time a French (all rifled) BG knocked out my 88-gun from more than 300m ?

But I had a lot of fun.
Nice job guys !

Sorry, never installed a mod for GTC.
I have the Steam version, and the few mods that are available here are for Matrix version.

Never used the third option.

Was able to unzip it now to indeed another folder.

But when trying to install the patch got this error: "EBUSetup: File L:\Hotsetup\Engine3\Util.cpp,Line233"

Never saw this before.

Can someone tell me how to fix?

Thank you.

PostForum: Kharkov   Posted: Fri Jan 01, 2016 12:48 pm   Subject: Re: Kharkov mod for TLD
Again I'm all confused.

I finished the Grand Campaign with the Germans. In any of the Panzer BG's there was a Pz IV F2, they where all Pz IV F or Pz IV D.

Yesterday I started to play the same campaign, on the same "Line-Line" settings, with the Russians.
After a few fights I got a German Pz BG as opponent, and what did I see? Two Pz IV F2's ???

So I checked the settings, but they where the same.
I started the GC with the German side again, and the same BG's that I played before all have Pz IV F2's. Now I can't find any Pz BG with a PZ IV F ???

The version I play is "5.50.14B" ??? I really don't remember where that somes from
Shouldn't that be 2.2?

Didn't dl 2.3 yet.

What am I doing wrong with the German Infantry Guns?
Especially the "10,5 cm leFH 18". They fire 1 or 2 rounds, and then they stop shooting with the message "wrong facing".
And they keep moving the gun a lot.

They are too close to a building? Too close to the enemy?

Played some battles in this mod.
In the German Panzer BG's, it seems to me that the Pz IV ausf F is the same short gun tank as the Pz IV ausf D.
The Pz IV ausf F should have a long gun, no?

I'm not sure, but I believe it has something to do with the intro movies.
You can switch off the movies: Launch CC while holding the Ctrl Key. You should be able to get into the Options and switch off Movies. Then the Program should launch normally.

Eh...I don't know what to do with these answers.
I was using the "Ctrl" button to speak. And it works for other players, I'm the only one (by my knowledge) that loses his mic (but not always)when starting up a CC5 game.
And for the "Voice activation", I disconnected my speakers. Only used my headset. When someone else spoke my (green) light went on as well. And the speaker gets an echo. I have a bad headset? Playing COD and pushing a button to speak isn't very easy, I need all my fingers to play (in fact I don't have enough fingers to play, lol). And "Voice activation" works for others, why not for me? I cannot sort it out with the settings or options?

Hi Mooxe, I got two different things:
- First, when I start up a game with somebody (GS or TCP/UDP) I often lose my mic. I use the "Ctrl" button to speak. And when I lose my mic the green light doesn't light up anymore, and my opponent can't hear me anymore. But I can still hear him. And it doesn't happen every time.
- Second, while playing COD, and using the "voice act", my buddies are complaining about hearing themselves in echo. And it is me who is causing this. So I made sure my speakers were out (disconnected them), but no change. I have a Creative Labs Audigy Player sound card and a brand new
Creative HS 300 headset.
What can I do about this?
Thanks for the help.

Release date, quote: "December 05 (for the anniversary of the battle)".
I don't know exactly when this battle took place, but it can't be that it was in Dec '45 is it? Ehem...wasn't the war over in Europe by then?(may '45)?
So what anniversary is it then? 51 years?
Eh...am I completely wrong...it's to obvious, that I'm not sure anymore...
Someone else?
