nice work. sounds are very good. i am doing a mod for war. your sound mod will work with. also the original sound file will work too, depending on preference.

is there a way to use bgedit to edit the bg's and forcepools in war? if not, is there a new tool or way to do it with out going thru tons of data in excel?

guys, you got to be able to handle critisism. i think alot of it is constructive, although sometimes it is'nt sugar coated.

overall i like WAR. there are a few things i would like to see different. but i find that in any vesrion off cc or mod.

be nice to use those cc5 modding tools tho. especially BGedit.

i am glad that there is someone moving cc forward.

it takes money to do anything in this world now a days. same goes for cc. the guys doing new versions of the older games need to be financially supported if they are to be able to keep working. and them continuing to work is how we will get cc6 or cc7 or what ever.

and it was no secret that war was a enhanced re release. you knew what your were spending your money on. $50 bucks, big deal. it takes that to take my wife out for a simple meal. think of the hours of entertainment you've gotten from cc over the years, and how many $ has it cost you?

i have been working on a mod based on the first battle at cassino, starting jan17/44. going to be winter maps. been at it now for about ayear. been really into it for the last coulpe months and have been getting alot done. any way thanks for your info. i am going to check out the link you left there.

ps...at the moment i am alone on this. volunteers welcome. the main things needed are historical researchers and mappers. sounds are mostly complete. much of the adb files are complete, except for forcepools/BGs. also a stratmapper would be nice.

hi,

cpt jb mac here.

i have wanted to do a mod of the battle of monte cassino for sometime now. i have read the book "monte cassino", by matthew parker. very good. i am now starting it for the 3rd time.

i have done somework, but at this rate, it could be years before a beta release.

i am putting a team togeather to create this mod.

what the team needs is as follows:
.historical data researchers
.mapping "artists" (map makers)
.2d graphical artists
.sound fx technicians

i will be doing most of the data coding(abd files, not the maps), among other things.

reply to this topic if your are interested in being a part of this mods developement. please include which position you wish to be involved with, and any experience or skills you have.

hi Stalky, been a while. what have you been up to? hows the family?

i ran strat edit with the masks and all that. the diamonds are in the right spot. but the diamond has the wrong map name. it will have a map name from an other diamond on the other side of the strat map, and vice versa. i think for now i will rerun strat edit, maybe i made an error when i ran it. i dont know what else to do at the moment.
