I haven't tried UTAH with Wacht am Rhein, have you checked the readme.txt file for the mod? It may only work out of the box, without the latest patch applied.

Use snipers as spotters inside victory locations where high ground is limited, as they can't capture area's. Have some other units in the same location away from the capture point, in ambush mode. As the enemy is approaches, pull your sniper out to safety, and hopefully the enemy will be caught unaware.

I did a simple modification to the "Sound.sfx" file if anyone is interested; I changed the wave file that you hear when starting a battle over to the default "drum roll" sound; no more Hitler speech\music combo at the start of every battle.

This "example" is for the default installation directory for Wacht am Rhein:
Extract the file to: "C:\Matrix Games\Close Combat Wacht am Rhein\Der_Kessel\LOCALFX"; overwrite the current file; back up the original file if you wish to do so.

The mod was originally made for Close Combat Invasion Normandy (aka CC5), mods that are transferred over; or are converted to newer releases, tend to be buggy. You get corrupted save files and voices for opposing sides.

Ignore the post above, it's filename on Close Combat Series is just a typo, when you extract the file, it's named "TLD_BattleforCaen_v0.93_plugin.tld".

What's the difference between the 0.94 plug-in, and the 0.93 installer; besides being able to use GameRanger?. Why hasn't there been an installer version made if 0.94 is the latest version?.

I know this is an old thread, but instead of making a new one I thought I'd just add this here.

I decided to install CC4 after several years hiatus, I'm using Windows Vista 32-bit and it's fully updated. The game is patched to v4.02 and it runs perfectly, I don't even need to use compatibility mode, I just run it as administrator. The only problem I have with the game, is that when I exit out of it, the program crashes every time just like Platoon Michael mentions. I've tried running it with different compatibility settings, but it makes no difference. It doesn't effect anything, it's just an annoyance more than anything.
I remember having that problem with the CC3 Trial as well.

reinforcements don't work in TLD so it could not be playable as meant.
there is an update giving the allied BGs 2x forcepools to compensate lack of reinforcement, need to upload it though.

When playing BOB with CC5 you cannot display road connections like you can with Wacht am Rhein using the spacebar to check. Has anyone made a Strategic map displaying which roads you can't take and which ones are blocked?.

I noticed that BOB for TLD/WAR, has a combination of American and Russian voices for the Russians. The deployment area's are different as well, when compared to the CC5 mod. I'm going to stick with playing it with CC5.
