Has anyone been able to get cfgv13 to work on windows 10?
Is there preferred location to install cc5 initially that plays well with cfgv13? Is there a preferred location to install cfgv13?
Any help would be appreciated. |

Because things are confusing, I am sorta 'resetting' the pictures. This is DAY *2* afternoon moves.
First, the PROPOSED moves. Second, the RESULTS of the moves. |

Has anyone been able to get the plugin manager to work properly in windows 10 for CC5? If so, I'd like to learn how to do it. |

1st Battalion of the 736th Regiment [716 ID] Tries to link up with their brothers in the 2nd Battalion. VERY Risky for these guys to ASSAULT a fully defended beach town with an Armored Brigade camped there. |

*VS* OST 441 Ukrainians (2 companies)
What a surprise. It looks like an armored column is coming off the beaches in column formation. OST 441 holds to fight another day. |

In order to support the 726th Regiment the nearest unit available to rush to its' aid is the 1st Battalion of the 22nd Panzer Regiment of the 21st Panzer Division.
They intersect with the Canadian 8/3 as both race to secure the Hillman Batteries.

352nd ID now has command over the 716. While trying to link up the reserves of 726/716 are ambushed by Canadian 7th BDE, 3rd ID at Tailleville.
No survivors on the initial ambush. Reserves Captured or Destroyed. |

What worked for me on issue#3
Issue#1
For those who don't even make it to the errors...like it just doesn't "launch" at all... Do the install...don't launch yet...go to the ISO image/cdrom (open it up) and manually copy the CCE.exe that is in the 'crack' folder and REPLACE the one that just installed onto your computer.
Issue#2 the 00000...x22 error.
Go search in your search box or go to control panel and find: Windows Features On or Off (or something similar). ----> Make sure "Legacy Components" is checked AS WELL AS 'DirectPlay' (which is tucked under it).
This will eliminate the 0x22 issue.
Issue #3 However, when you run it, you might find yourself with some BS error about how your graphic card can't support 800x600 16 bit....
Right click on your shortcut for CC5 and try these settings (or similar to taste): Run in compatibility mode for win98 sp2 (try '2' if 3 doesn't work). Run in Reduced color mode (use pull down and select 16-bit (65536) color) Run this program as an admnistrator |

THIS WILL WORK. I'm positive of it.
So, that is how you make two stupid errors go away. |

Forum: Close Combat The Longest Day Posted: Sun Nov 05, 2017 5:52 pm Subject: Re: Run problems TLD |
I am sure other people have resolved this, already. However, I will share what I did to fix this.
I *BELIEVE* the resolution of your computer/monitor settings is different than what TLD defaulted to at the time of installation.
I'm sure there are people who can say how to launch the game in some special resolution with special command line arguments, etc.
HOWEVER, this is the layman version:
Launch into "Pretty in Pink" mode (launch TLD to the horrid pink and black screen)...and sadly...slowly move your mouse around and find 'options'...and click on it.
However, you may have to play with this. I set it to the highest resolution of the game but my play area shrunk. Still, the clue is with resolution of your monitor and what the game thinks it is.
Once in the options the resolution will clear up. *CHANGE* your resolution to something better than the default..preferably to what your windows is currently set.
NOTE: I had to click the 'windowed' button while I was there to make it work, also. However, it worked....
I set my monitor and game resolution to both 1280x1024 60refresh.
Hope this helps. |

Forum: Close Combat 5: Invasion Normandy Posted: Sun Nov 05, 2017 12:49 am Subject: Re: I need help with CC5 instalation |
I can install cc5 by installing the program by mounting the ISO as a virtual drive. I do the install. Then I copy the cc5.exe file from the 'crack' folder on the ISO to REPLACE the cc5.exe that is in cc5.
Consider installing in C:\Program Files vs. C:\Program Files (x86) (?) As the plugin manager I believe references C:\Program Files explicitly.
(please correct me if I'm wrong..I will edit this if I am in error). |

8th Brigade Group and 9th Brigade Group from the British 3rd Infantry Division Land with strong support from 27th Armoured BDE and 22nd Dragoons.
The OST 642 hold out with strong resistance to British superior firepower and Naval bombardment. |

*VS* elements of
7th Canadian Infantry Brigade and a nearly unstoppable 1st Hussars drive through a battalion from the 736th Regiment of the 716. Resistance is crushed. Crippled platoons and ad-hoc squads of Germans are seen fleeing. The battalion is disbanded.
Further along the coast another battalion of the 736th holds desperately against the 8th Canadian Infantry Brigade. The Sherbrooke Fusiliers nearly collapsed a battalion from the 736th Regiment.
Again, Brigades with armoured and naval support are able to press hard individual battalions in a 3:1 numerical superiority. The Canadians have arrived. |

50th ID (Northumbrian) smash through paltry German defenses in the morning of June 6th. *VS* elements of
231 BDE and 69 BDE *CRUSH* the shell shocked companies of the the German 726th Battalion and the 441 (Ost) battalion. Germans were not fully prepared for Brigade strength with armored support against spread thin companies. It looks as if the 231st has control of the road to Bayeux...
69th needs to spend a few minutes to track down a guerilla Oberleutnant who is hiding somewhere with an old Russian Pak 184/1. British command doesn't seem to have given the order to move to Creully.
Thoughts: British armour seemed much stronger than expected. German morale is low. It was very unexpected that swarms of Hampshire's would flood the fields. The order to withdraw should be given...if we can find a functioning radio.
