Oh, very nice! I had no idea i could alter the resolution! Too bad i didn't see this earlier as i recently completed a grand campaign But eh, i need to do it over as i had it set on too easy :P
Any tips on how to speed up the loading of each screen? The circle drawing outwards during each screen takes a good 5+ seconds (at least in win 7) |

Your logic does make sense... I suppose a lucky grenade toss worked in their favor too. And yeah, i've actually charget a squad which resulted in hand-to-hand combad and ... yes, i lost! Maybe it wasn't a full squad, but those PzF/S teams sure get secret kung-fu training! : Or... maybe they do use that PzF to hit my troops upside the head...
And you KNOW that when you play as the Germans and use the PzF teams this way, you'd get wiped out quickly... dang cheating computer |

So the other times i've won it was by crushing them 'physically' lets say, and not 'moral-wise'?
Most battles so far i've won without this issue happening... |

PzF or PzS, i can't remember - i'm talking about the usual 2 men team of AT. Guess it's just weird luck as i've played CC2 so many times and i can't recall this happening. Wish i had a video of them wiping out a strong rifle/bren team just for laughs... |

So i've just gotten started on #4 in the series. Kinda weird i can't choose my own units but we'll see how it plays out.
Anyway, twice now i've achieved major victory but without getting all the strategic locations on the map, thus not winning that battle. Its as if there is a cease fire. I don't get this at all, and i'm wondering if there's a way to prevent this. So basically i'm wiping out the enemy, about to control that sector, then they give up, and still control it? Could it have been that my timer ran out and i didn't notice?... hmm... |

You know, i did the same thing! CD was cracked and so was my heart I was sooo bummed out. I eventually went on e-bay and ordered one for about 15$ (came with another CC game, can't remember, wasn't mentioned in the bid, but the guy just threw in some extras!). It was published by some other company too...
There's always torrents... you DO own the title so it wouldn't be illegal right? I made freaking backups of all my classics after this...
BUT... what about those PzF teams taking out whole rifle squads? :O |

Just installed CC4 on my Win7 x64 and when i choose to start a campaign, the strategic map is all jumbled up.
Welp, just figured out this problem as i was typing this post - i used the no-cd crack from the downloads section (which needs the CD) and it was causing the jumbled up screen. |

So after many years i've reinstalled CC2 and played myself a Grand Campaign as the Allies. Oh what fun :)
However, just about every time my infantry engages a 2 men PanzerFaust team, they get destroyed. I've had a PzF team actually take out a rifle squad. And its almost the rule, not the exception. Whether its a PzF team sneaking up on a house with a full squad, or i've lost squads charging a house (w/ suppression etc) - those PzF's do sooo much damage to my infantry squads! Has anyone else noticed this? I don't remember this being the case... maybe its just a string of bad luck, but i've developed a fear for them now |

It works fine on my win7 x64 and i do experience the menu-drawing problem. I didn't install the directx media stuff (or whatever its called) during the game install, perhaps that's the problem... The menu takes about 5 seconds to draw for me. Compatibility modes didn't help. |
