Was the panzershrek used as an anti-personnel weapon too?

The only teams I have reduced in size are the heavy MG teams because it can be infuriatingly difficult to get the mg to sit by a window during deployment if the teams are large. I may consider enlarging other teams, rifle teams particularly, if that is something everyone agrees to.

20 slots for very large BGs would be great, especially considering how huge some of the LSA maps are. However, I suspect that's something that can't be modified without tampering with the .exe.

Yeah, I'm not sure about allowing the above tiger. I can almost imagine a panzerfaust being fired whilst moving at a walking pace, but a bazooka?

I thought the idea of some BGs being able to field smaller numbers of troops was an attempt to represent the units overall size? i.e. smaller BGs are more liable to being overwhelmed and flanked by larger BGs.

Wow, awesome. Looking forward to hearing more information. I see 1948 in the background, I assume that means this is a Chinese Civil War mod?

Nice work. I've been playing around with the data too, mostly trying to improve the balance of the GC by giving the german BGs a boost. The line:

# Number of days after arrival that Allied AB BGs are automatically in supply
2

presumably means that after 2 days the AB BGs begin to lose supply, right?

With recycling of disbanded BGs activated, will they incur strength loses after being disbanded?

I'm really enjoying the GC's I've started. LSA is more fun than CC5.

Yeah, a competitive league is something I've considered in the past. You could certainly count me in if it was organised.

Yeah, those that paid for the originals can download the 2.0 version. I assume it'll be a whole new game download rather than another patch. The rereleases are now being advertised at the slitherine website so I assume it won't be long before they're available at the matrix site too.

edit: just as I finishing writing the above the new versions became available. someone start a GC with me!

Great! I'll be around GR today. Fingers crossed Matrix actually stick to the date they stated for release (I'm ever so slightly skeptical...).

Today is supposedly the release date, although there is still nothing available on the matrix site. Anyone interested in starting a GC to test this sucka out?

Easy, it would mean that the division lost 5,8 times it's formational number of tanks.

That still doesn't mean anything. How much action did the formation see? What were the percentage losses for german and russian tank formations as a basis of comparison?

There are 3 kinds of lies; lies, damned lies and statistics.

580% casualty rate? How is that possible? Is that compared to enemy losses?

This is the long awaited patch then? They make it sound like they're releasing a new game that is free to all those who have purchased the re-releases.

No. Just make a copy of CC5 to the above installation location. Install the mod. Rename the folder to something like "CC5 Stalingrad". Play the game.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
