Wow, I just realized why I particularly like this mod, the vehicle data in this is actually realistic!
The amount of work that must have went into changing those kinds of details is crazy. Most mods I see only use the "RealRed" armor model which is very unrealistic (double the frontal armor on T34s than a tiger tank for example). |

Am I reading the vehicle data wrong or does the Tiger Tank by default have just about half the frontal armor of a generic t34 of any year?
edit:
Lol, apparently I came to the exact conclusion in the OP... Whoops. Still, it's really weird. I replaced the tigers armor values with those from the IS-2 and it seems a lot more realistic of a model.
edit2:
Whoever did the armor + gun values in the vehicle file really didn't like Tiger tanks (or German for that matter). But Tiger tanks in particular were their pet peeve. |

Really fun mod, thanks for making this. I tried really hard to get CC5 BoB to work, but this is the only one which seems to on TLD. |

Thanks, I ended up manually adjusting it. |

Hello I'm a longtime fan of Cross of Iron and was sorely disappointed to find out they broke mod installations for this game. Neither steam or GOG versions work by default. So to save yourself from having to slowly download a pirated version from 10 years ago which possibly has a virus you can can execute the following two processes to use mods on Cross of Iron:
PROCESS #1 for GOG (even though I own COI on steam too I cant see a way to revert to the previous game version necessary.)
1) Using GOG Galaxy 2.0 navigate to Cross of Iron in the app 2) Select the little button on the upper right with two white plugs 3) Choose "Manage Installation" from the drop down menu which appears 4) Click on configure 5) Uncheck automatically update 6) Select the 3.61.00a version of the game from 4 years ago 7) Wait for the update process to end
*** Note you may need to uninstall the game completely, then install it again and update using the above steps for this to work
*** Also if you need to install again, make sure you uncheck "update game automatically"
PROCESS #2
1 Download this, extract into a folder if you want (better for organization) http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/modules.php?name=Downloads&op=getit&lid=4182 2 Edit the mod.ini file to read the following (look @ the bottom of this post) *** NOTE, put your own games location within that section 3 Right click the modswap ini file 4 Select properties from the dropdown 5 Check the "read only" box and save it 6 Start modswap 7 Install your mod plugin file in .cc3 format 8 Ensure all your mods maps are within the proper directory 9 If you're missing any maps download them from here depending on the alphabetical letter http://www.closecombatseries.net/CCS/modules.php?name=Downloads&cid=158
[General] LastVersion=3
[InstalledVersions] 0=0 1=0 2=0 3=1 4=0 5=0 6=0 7=0 8=0
[InstalledLocations] 2=C:\Matrix Games\Close Combat Last Stand Arnhem 3=E:\gog\Close Combat Cross of Iron\Close Combat III <<<<- YOU MUST PUT YOUR OWN GAMES LOCATION HERE! 4=C:\Matrix Games\Close Combat Wacht am Rhein 5=C:\Matrix Games\Close Combat The Longest Day
[EXEFileNames] 2=CCE.exe 3=CC3.exe 4=CCE.exe 5=CCE.exe 6=CCE.exe
Hopefully this gets you all on the right path. I probably won't check this post too frequently but hopefully somebody else can help or use this to play their own favourite mods again like I did. |

Does anyone know whether a mod ever fixed this issue? |
