Well I tried different resolutions, but the gc res. only changes the desktop resolution. Not the ingame UI resolution. Which leads to....nothing unfortunately. I also tried to "force programs to use a specific resolution". As expected, it didn't work. Sad

EDIT: Just wanted to let you know. Problem resolved. Bought me a new monitor. Game works fine. Very Happy Thx

Am I correct to assume that the menu screens are displayed stretched without black borders on your screen?
ATI cards have that option, right? NVidia scaling doesn't seem to work Sad

No I have those black borders which is another thing I don't like and never had with CC4/5. But the UI screen itself is grainy and blurry which makes it really ugly. It might have something to do with either the monitor (Acer AL1703) or the cable between monitor and gc. I'am no computer pro but I see "DVI analog" on the cable which I hope is the right one. I did not have problems with the older CC5/4 with the same hardware setup so I'm a bit confused.

Hi

I just bought the game via Digital River and I found out that I have a problem with the resolution on the main screen, incl. the strat map and battlegroup screen and every menu except the battle itself.

I got a ATI Radeon HD 4850 card. It seems that the 1024x748 resolution is not supported very good anymore by my gc because the 1280x1024 resolution during the battle looks fine. The rest looks blurred and there seems to be no way to change the menu resolutions.

Is there any way to display the menu screens in 1280x1024? It really looks ugly and takes a lot of fun from playing the game. Or do you guys have any idea to tweak the gc to display the lower 1024x768 sharper?

I really appreciate any help on this.

Thanks
Tom

Hmm I can understand that you're angry atm. Asking for permission for something like this should be normal for everyone. I might be wrong but I think most if not all people on this forum are adults and should know how to behave. However I'm sure Salhexe did not want to take an advantage of your mod or insult you with his changes.

People know it's your mod and all are thankful for the work you put in it. Some write posts to say thx but most are only d/l and playing it. I'm sure those players are all thankful as well.

I would not take it so personally. It's not good for the blood pressure. Wink

However, I usually only play the "official" and approved mods and updates. I did not d/l Salhexes vetmods because I was already happy with yours. (never change a running system Laughing)

As for the moderator rights I would agree to what AT_Stalky and others already said and I'm sure Mooxe will talk to you PJ as soon as he will have the time.

So keep cool dude. Smile

Tomdude

*edit: Oh I forgot to say that. Please guys whatever bothers you, let's stay decent and fair.

Well I'm sorry to say that but historically there were some Pzkpfw VI Tiger in the combined relief forces of the 4th Panzerarmee (Panzergruppe Hoth and Armeeabteilung Hollidt). Panzergruppe Hoth included the 6th, 17th and 23rd Panzerdivision and parts/remains of the 4th Rumanian Army. Aa Hollidt, mainly Infantry Divs., did not take part in offensive manouevers.

I read books and have dvd's with reports about the whole battle of Stalingrad with contemporary witnesses of the Kessel as well as the of the relief troops. There were Tigers among the Panzergruppe Hoth! Maybe just a few an not very successful due to the adverse conditions of the russian winter, but they were definetely there.

Hi

2 questions about vetmods:

1. If I play as Axis and want a tougher russian enemy, do I have to install the rusvetmod or the gervetmod?

2. Do I have to start a new game to have the benefit of the vetmod?

Thx

Hi

ehm maybe that sounds newbish to many of you but what's the difference to play with or without the vet-submods? Is it a change of the BGs or an improvent of the AI (if even possible) ?

Thanks

Hi,

Unfortunately, NO.

CC5 has been made for the Utah beach attack by the US versus the Germans, so the AI attacking from the East versus forces defending from the west.....in ALL ALL ALL the maps!!!
I have tried everything I could to resolve this, but the problem is inside the CC5 exe file, and as far as I know, nobody can resolve this.

We have to live with it, try to adapt the .btd files as best as we can (I did it)or only mod CC5 with armies attacking from the east to the west.... Hmmmmm

Cheers
PJ

Hmm maybe re-placing some crucial VLs (like the roads to the only supply depots Gumrak and Pitomnik) a bit to the left of the map would solve this problem. Wink

Well problem solved. Dunno if anything went wrong while downloading the fullmappack, but it works now as I d/l all the maps again a third time individually.

Bothering other people on forums and then solving my own problems after a while is great Very Happy

Question

Hi all,

I just d/l Okinawa 1.02 and the fulmappack for 1.02. Pluged-in, copied maps, started game, everthing worked fine. Now at every start of the battle i get the following message: ....\maps\*mapname*.rxr is corrupted. I get this on every map and back to desktop.

edit: I have to add that I already tried to install the maps individually but this doesn't work either.

Anyone an idea what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks
Tom
