Hi.

I just want to say thank you to Pete and Buck for your dedication and your hard work to create this superb mod.
I would feel shameful to not congratulate you on your work .
I particularly like all the operations you've created with the mod as it makes us re-live different steps of the battle as it happened historically. While still being fun campains tend to go in an un-historical manner quite often.
And as a Canuck this battle has always interested me, so thanks again guys.

My favorite feature of older CC games is that they were not owned by matrix\slitherine !

Gateway to Caen is the first one I bought since cc5 and I regret it now.

I kinda HATE having the feeling of "You bought it haha we had you suck*r"

Well its not gonna happen again matrix !

Good riddance.

Hmmm! Texting and driving... Maybe thats the explanation for the weird armor pathing and behavior after all.  Smile

Stalingrad is awesome indeed. The attention to details is seen troughout the mod. Hats off to you modders.

But whatever the mod the AI is still the AI... A little funky deploy from it in Stalingrad  Rolling Eyes

In my opinion Close Combat is not going anywhere until someone has the real will to tackle the core of the game, the source code (engine) from the atomic era.

Gateway to Caen is only gonna be another layer of make-up and lipstick on the same old tired pig...

Hi

I'm currently playing the GC as canucks against the AI and of course no miracles are expected from it but I keep attacking continuously so its not that bad. What I like the most are the maps, simply gorgeous, thank you modders for your hard work.
The only downpoint is the AI constantly popping BG's at fort Frederick Hendrick (only to get slaughtered)...  Any human player  right in his head wouldnt do that, since all the southern portion of the strat map is Under allied control. I'm a point of putting my troops in defence\ambush then I unleash a naval barrage on the AI when the game starts then I go doing my dishes or whatever...  Apart from that great mod, wish toplay it h2h sometime.

Hi !

Yes I know that Gateway to Caen is gonna be similar of the other re-re-releases but I'm still gonna give it a try. As I never played the re-releases I'm very eager to try the "troop transport" and towing my guns too. But TLD is gonna be first on the list especially for the Kharkov and "GJS" mods, which are looking very cool.

Yeah thaks for the info.

In fact I already knew that but was kinda reluctant to the idea since those "new" games were stil based on the same antiquated engine.

But now after getting myself a copy of cc5, and trying to solve graphic problems for almost 2 days on my new comp. I think that maybe the time is now to get me LSA or TLD (or both  Smile )  I mean all that technical mumbo jumbo is time consuming and I'm far from being an expert on those issues.

Anyways one thing's for sure I'm gonna get Gateway to Caen when its ready. But its gonna be do or die for those matrix guys, I've been waiting almost 15 years for things as simple as "somehow intelligent" armor that can do a simple pop-out attack without going all around the map exposing its rear  Rolling Eyes .

Hi all !

I've been a CC player since CC4, but for obvious reasons much preferred CC5 and all the wonderful mods that went with it. But after more than 10 years of playin' on and off with my friend I had some computer problems so I lost all my cc5 files. And the fun part of it is that my friend just changed his old comp and was relying on me for the files...
Thanks to CCS having all the mods we enjoyed so much wont be a problem.  Very Happy

Now, for some reasons we never believed into investing $$$ into the re-re-re-releases.  Evil or Very Mad

I understand that for some liability reason (with the re-re-re-release company) I cant get the cc5 full install around here.

So the million dollar question is : Does someone know where I could get a SAFE option of getting it back ???
Thanks in advance, any suggestion will be much appreciated . Cant wait to have my CC fix, feeling like a junkie in need now.

Vandoo

ETA   Nevermind I did what I had to do...
Lot of work and a real pain in the @ss  Shocked
