Ok here it is, help is most needed, I have a orignal copy of "Close Combat Invasion Normandy", And have used it many times to play Head to Head, i used to have an old win 95 pc an it worked fine on that, upgrading my pc gave me new challanges to running the game, i.e. choppy frame rate, blt draw errors, etc. These are now fine, game works like a charm in single player mode, as do mods i install. What is doing my brain in about this game, is this,.. 1) when i try to host at Gamespy I can't, but can join 2) when i try to host or join at Game Ranger i get all sorts of differant connection issues, 3) Game loads to a black screen 4) Get a CC5 is running msg abort and try again 5) Or it just hangs in the lobby
What I would like is a simple solution to playing A game without all the hang ups. If this is some sort of issue with the ports on my router, a simple walk through might be needed, as i have found that others are haveing the same problems, and not everone is a technial wiz at changing their Pc settings. These problems have plagued the CC community for ages and no doubt cut down on gamers willing to play, as there is a very competive multi player video game market out there. This game is a multi player GEM. P.s. the only trouble i ever had on MSN was slow load times with my dial up. Any help would be great, your faithfully Von Pop aka Deaths Legions
I'm also getting this problem with GameRanger, I can run the game without problems in single player, but only get a black screen when tring to host/join a game. After a long time without playing cc5 h2h, and getting a msg from Mooxe, i thought i would give it a go again, I have downloaded the patch to turn it 5.01, and GJS44. everything is new other than the disk. I truely am stumped, i have made an exception for cc5 in my firewall and have turned off Data execution prevention (DEP). Any help would be great
In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
