Hi.

I play CC5 with GJS Mod. I´m far into the game as Allies. Now where it get´s interesting, because germans have tigers, the savegame loads to the first day of the Grand Campaign. I dont know what to do, but i like to play my campaign further.

Are there any solutions to that? Or do i have to live with some sort of bug?

CC6 needs:
- A second map, to that you can switch to, while on the tactical map, that shows the height of the landscape instantly by holding down a key. Major features of the regular tactial map are getting feded out here. Task of this map is to deliver topographic information instantly.  Like a tobographic map with lines that mark area with the same height.  Different colours can be applied here.. Green always marks terrain that is lower than the selected unit. Red terrain is always higher.       -No more cumbersome scanning with line of sight neccesary then.
:: You all know that situation, when your unit doesn´t shoots because of a major elevation issue, that you noticed just to late.

- a third map, accessible by another key, to see what the selected unit can see. Employment here of the proven system: -Green: visible, -dark green: sight is blocked a bit, -red: no vision at all             And Application of fog of war only with this function and with high contrast. An "alltime on" fog of war would create problems with seeing some important details on the map, because under well enough contrasted fog of war, some map details getting faded and the FoW could not display unit vision details detailed enough.

CC6 does not need:
-to much eye candy. For a fun game it is enough, when every important detail is visible. Yes, it is ok, when it is possible to recognize a specific vehicle by it´s features. Remember: perfection is reached, when you can´t take more away.
PC games werent overloaded with eyecandy, when CC was created, atleast compared to today. Instead, i think, developers where happy for the first time then to have enough recources, to create what we love today as CC.
Compare //Total Annihilation// and it´s successor //Supreme Commander// for that to, if you like. SupCom is to overloaded for my taste.

thx for reading that bad english

I have read about a higher decorated german infantryman, who was a eastern front veteran and then fought on the western front, after D-Day. When he and his group sneaked up to a hedgerow somewhere in france, they found allied soldiers gathered together behind that obstacle in the distance there. Since the Schreck was new to theese germans, they tried the "Ofenrohr" out on this crowd, with suprising success.

That´s what comes into my mind, regarding Schrecks and AP capability.

The story was in one of the many "Landser" booklets. A publicated series of wartime stories, available in germany. Usually with backroundstory of the operation and front on which it plays. With one ore more personal stories in it. I have to admit that some of the many stories seem to be fictive or invented.

Hi.
I never played CC online but I consider to play a GC online. It would be surely a nice challenge and fun as well to see, how BGs develop or getting annihilated.
But im not sure which game or mod i should choose. From what i have read lately and experienced too, in LSA the Schrecks/singleshot weapons are unaccurate. Also infantry AT weapons are not as available for the german side as it was in CC2. So there are some issues whith the balancing.

Once i have admitted to a GC, i dont like to quit it then and loose the effort, just because it is disappointing to one player or another.
And I like mixed play with both, Inf and vehicles.
So what do the more experienced H2H players of you think about that? Can you give me some advice please.

Hi.
I just play //Last stand Arnhem//. I know CC since CC2 Demo, and boys, what a great game. And wha a great evolution that game made from CC1 to CC2 back then. Ok, there are weaknesses. Some additional information on every stage of the game is still not accessible, even today.
For example,
-you can never recheck ingamen (in battle mode), what victory locations are necessary to take, so that the armor can just roll through on the way that you have planned.
-As well you can never see ecaxtly, which battle groups belong to which formation and how they are equipped right now, where they fight and so on. This has become better with LSA. The map system is more easily understandable. But when you spend formation points....there are always theese questions......What battle group was so bad in need of a mortar? And does it belong to the same formation as this one or not.

So long for that. Just my 50 cents.

Have fun.

Hi.

That CC Reg tool worked easily with LSA. It was a little upset because it couldn´t find any CC4 or CC5 stuff, but i navigated to my campagn savegame manually then. Tho it didn´t wanted to work with the one in the original savegame folder. I had to use my already made safety copy in another folder. ;)

THX for the help.

Hi.
Is it possible to change the setting for when the time exspires ingame on a started campaign? I play the grand campaign and the setting with 30mins is a little too long.
