You know what would be a whizzbang idea, if someone just remade the game from scratch with all new AI and Pathing. Fuck all the 3D and fuck all the fancy shit. Just give me a top down Close Combat game that feels like the origional but has all the damn bugs worked out because they don't exist in the first place. Shit, that'd probably be a decent fucking game. Too bad that I'm busy working for a living.

Try a google search for VirtualBox

You can find a copy of WinXP, 32bit or 64Bit your choice.

Then, burn yourself an XP DVD (or use your old reinstall disc), install virtual box on the win10 computer and then use VirtualBox to install a winXP VM (Virtual Machine.)

I'm experimenting with it myself right now, but it seems to work pretty good. I'm in the process of installing CC in it right now.

Has anything developed with this as of late? I keep checking the site throughout the years and while I admit the thought of a new Close Combat from the ground up gives me a slight chubby, there really seems to be nothing but hot air and cool screen shots of a game that is as of yet still unplayable or purchaseable. Whats the word?

Now I've had to completely reinstall my copy of CC5. I patch it, and it tells me program failed to initialize. Whats up with that? I keep reinstalling and reinstalling but it doesn't make any difference.....

"The Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application"

I downloaded the version of SAS you have hosted on the site and it keeps half installing through the plugin manager and then says "Cannot install vehicles.adb because vehicles.adb does not exist." ??

Anyone help me?

Does anyone know how I can decompile game files? Like saved files, Pre-made OP's? So I can load thier info like in CCreq? I mean obviously CCreq opens up the data files and operation files but how? How do I turn all that gobull-dy-gook into plain english?
