Hello,

I play on a very small screen laptop.

I was playing a full campaign arnehm, when I tried to change close combat options.

I allowed (ticked) "play in a windows"

Then game crashed.

Then I could not launch the game any longer.

I unistalled game. Reinstalled. Tried to launch game => error

I tried to delete every registry linked with Arnehm... But even so it did not work.

Now I have everything unistalled for the third time, I wait for someone to help me.

All what I think about is I should install game. Then get access to "close combat options" screen without launching game. Then untick "play in a window". Then play again.

I have no clue how to access this option menu from Windows 7.

Help me please!!!!

Thank you!

Unzipped successfully.

Both BGM files got unpacked successfully.

What astonished me all the more, is that some other files got unrared, which means I had more files missing than I expected.

As a matter of fact, Map pack hosted by CCS is broken.

Allright,

I'm just back from my COI folder, but I can't find any clue how to edit operations from a campaign file. I may need a program for this right?

Here I really need your help again!

Thanx in advance,

JC

Hallo Kamerad!

Thank you for this detailed answer!

Of the three options you mentioned, the last one sounds the best, at least at first sight.

you said I needed to

add the next numerical Campaign Operation to the Campaign file and delete the 1st Campaign Operation from the Campaign file . Continue to add one and delete one Campaign Operation after each Campaign Operation that you complete (always keep a maximum of 17 operations in the Campaign file (including only 16 completed Campaign Operations).

But if I'm not mistaken, I'd better wait for operation 15to start, then deleteoperations from 1 to 14 included. Then add operations 17 to 31... Right? this would require much less manipulating...
Then, this way, when reaching operation 29, I delete operations from 15 to 28, and add operations 32 to 45...

Maybe I'm not very clear inmy statement, what I ask is, wether adding deleteing operations one by one is necessayr, or is it possible to delete/add bunch of equal quantities?

Also I wonder why there shouldbe 17 operation files, not 16 ?

Last but not least, Having played DOF2 (German vs AI submod included) only since a few day, I noticed the AI being very strong and agressive. Iwas still playing DOF1 a week ago, and I can tell this make a big change, and it creates a very interesting challenge. The problem with the Russians becoming dangereous, is that your soldiers die like flees.. So maybe, after only two operations all m soldiers will be dead!
But I find it exciting to play a 48 operation long campaign, beause you have to think on the long term and save your soldiers asses, like in reality, rather than rushing like a mad man to get the VLs! This way you'll always look at preserving your men from evident dangers...

I need to give it a try!

Thanx a lot again for this great and entertaining mod!

Hello

If i may dare, I would like to ask if it is possible, somehow, to keep one's roster from Early War Campaign when you start the Middle War Campaign in DOF2. This would be awesome.

This would mean you can follow the fight with the same combat company througout 48 operations!!!!

Please tell me there's a way!!!

Respects,

JC

Hello gents.

Wether I use winzip or winrar nothing helps. In botH cases I get an unpacking error with DOF2 mappack.

LVOV4X.BGM
SUMMER.BGM

Both are failling.

I downloaded that pack from Close Combat Series site.

What should I do? Download elsewhere?

Is .bgm restricting me from playing a full campaign? etc

Thx in advance!!! I love DOF2

Hey there,

I have never played online though I would be very happy to play even campaigns with someone. My favorite mod is by far Clos Combat 3: Der Ost Front... I find it excellent.

I tried some other mods on CC5, but none impresses me as much as DOF !

Maybe one day I shall find an opponent among you ? I would be happy to play a campaign...

Rules, I don't really care, yet I prefer 12-14 minutes games... Because I m accostumed to that kind of gaming !

See you one the field !

Very great mod.

Meant  to be played as the germans in solo player.

Making the Russians so über means you cant win the campaign anymore by taking the initiative of the attack. That's why I love it. The Russians come waves after waves !

I should say, that I've only played battle of berlin, without the vet-mods and updates, because I'm not sure how to add them to the files.

For this vetmod:
overwrite exe in main folder, the adb files in data/base and btds in maps folder, campaign in campaign folder.
Save existing files.

Hey, I would be most happy to play your submod. Yet, as it is now, I really dont want to try to install it. Yes I'm lazy. But I just dont get it why you dont want to use the cfg manager ?

Hoepfully you could create a prpoer install, or something easier to get to work ?

Thx in advance.
