Excellent site to replace many old and worn out disks and as you posted.. DRM free. They also keep a folder for members where all games purchased by members can be re downloaded at any time in the future. Have purchased many titles there, tho CM, WAR and up are not as cheap as one might think. 30$ and up US last time checked. Older ones were only 5-6$ US range.

That's it and nice site linked to also  Smile

Aberdeen is history now. Used to have literally hundreds of AFV's from WW1 to post 'Nam era Patton armored museum is a goner also and various tanks all spread out. Crying shame. Some of the examples at those places were/are 1 of a kind left. Why this country cannot honor it's past and preserve it is beyond me.

Getting sticker shock on how much the defense suppliers think they can price gouge for rail gun tech.    It does seem like it could be viable threat but accuracy seems problematic and waaay too expensive.  Phyric victory.
The Krauts had amazing tech in WW2 and effective for breaking morale of opponents.  But not nearly as effective as massed air power or stealth subs.  I remember WW2 telling me how rattled he was by big Kraut guns aimed at invasion craft in Italy.  He could barely talk about it still was traumatized decades later.

Imagine being in the near proximity of a railgun shell going off would leave a lasting memory, just like surviving a blasting from heavy cruisers or battleship bombardment inland.

Seeing Leopold when it was at Aberdeen years back (no idea if it still is) and how massive the rail gun actually was/is. It's no wonder that gun terrified allied soldiers at the Anzio beach head.

That's pretty hard core DJ. Must really dislike everything the Trump administration has done and is doing in all facets.

Would you prefer going back a couple of years to where the truly FAILED leadership stuck it's head in the sand when all forms of trouble appeared, then lied about it when Americans died as a result?

Not played any CC for 2-3 years, none installed even. Entirely Combat Mission Ladders over at The Blitz. Played Brandenberg and Brake a few times. Remember Brake liked COI if that helps any Loki.

If you have new generation (CM2 any) Sspoomy plays those and I'm active as can be on the 1st generation CMBB and CMAK.

Really nice to see you again bro.

Just drink a quart (or 2) then go online and bitch, piss, moan and complain..

Newegg has literally hundreds of refurbished notebooks and some desktops, many (most) have Win7 preinstalled and some have a 1 year warranty if look through enough of the ones available. i got both my sister and a niece one of these earlier this year.. both 1y warranty versions.

Newegg is US only and is one of the finest online companies have ever dealt with. Never have had any issue with products returned getting replaced.

The one military action (real) that took place while was in the Navy was this fiasco and Ghadafi foolishly threw several jets, even some small boats against the Naval ships pounding him during this time.. A USNR radioman at the time.. Was pure joy watching messages coming over the teletype back then at how that moron was sending jets and even smaller/obsolete vessels out to get smashed. I remember one mentioned 2 old F4's being shot down during 1 skirmish.. Long since obsolete, even at that date.

johnsilver - Was that the time he was going out to meet his forces to sink the US Navy. He got cold feet after an exchange and returned to port. Apparent he may never have left port but had his bluffed called - 1980's

That's part of it. Off Libya we hit some of his so called fishing boats and think was 2 F4's in '86 that came out to challenge the fleet was bombing him. I wasn't there.. Was out of active duty by then, in reserves and only was active on WC (boot camp + schooling) and Caribbean anyway. The joy was the incident coincided with my active period for the year onboard a reserve ship..

Like I keep saying. War is a profitable business to be in and US FP shows that and so does Military weapons exports - Number 1 in the world USA.

Interesting.. Who exactly has been producing millions of automatic rifles per year for export as a way to raise hard cash for decades? Need something bigger? We just have to have one of those laying around also from pre 1990 as a matter of fact also.. if the price is right..

Soviet, some old soviet countries and China it's big biz to produce and keep economy afloat.. Germany.. Israel. Guess they are proliferaters also, fighting every day to stay alive among a area surrounded by devils?

Seems like u and I had a conversation about this very subject that devolved quickly a few years back. you still bring this up? Really with Putin showing he's more unstable AFTER Ukraine?

how safe would all those new European countries be (former soviet satellites) if the US pulled it's forces out of Europe.. which don't get me wrong.. i'd love the see the US do, like pronto.

You really don't think those spanking new democratic (mostly) countries wouldn't all of a sudden have the same breakaway groups wanting to return to the soviet sphere? Don't get me wrong.. I'm tired of the US getting dragged into european conflicts, but not seeing what is plain as day is beyond...

Had forgotten Steve got KG_Soldier (Mark also) from years past into SOW. Seems like he might have/had also gotten another of us old timers back.. He was still recruiting into KG..  All these near 20y later.

I've got CMBN (2nd generation) CM, Market garden, as well as Commonwealth add on and latest 1.4 patch battlefront recently released. Not played it since installing h2H or PBEM.

If you can catch Steve at SOW.. He can set up private rooms at SOW and make a CM room for H2H play, which we used to do there. Would be nice to get bunch of us together again on T/Speak like the old days.

look around on the forums(KG) for email list.. Some are old, I've got more recent ones here if u need for guys kept in somewhat contact with later on Neil.

Forgot SOW link..

Here is the KG Forums. they've been up for last several years as far as know, only little used anymore.

Hey Neil,

CC3 was one got me really fired up with CC. 2 was kind of ho-hum thought when was 1st playing it.

Remember Frank and I started a live, on the Zone WF campaign when it came out.. he destroyed me.. Frank was good.

Sorry man. Those few games with Brake cpl years back all the live ones have played since the old Zone days. Reloaded WAR and TLD few days back to play Drizzt's Der Kessel conversion, but vs AI. Only H2H have really done in years is Combat Mission 2 and 3 (CMBB/CMAK) that still play ladders on.

Brake "was" hot and heavy into COI not that awfully long ago, he's the one I'd suggest sending a message to. Had his email, but can't locate right now.

Another thing might try is posting at KG forums.. seems like KG_Scout "might" have been playing, or thinking of reloading some of the CC titles a year or 2 back when last talked with him. kent (kg_panzerschrek) is another u might ask as a possibility?

I've cleaned up the spam at both CSO and AOC, however.. I've really not heard anything from Shaun since sent him a package over a year ago in the mail and I've been AWOL for a cpl years myself from CC and pretty much walked out on the historical research job for (then called) TAC when the software was to be loosely based on post Anzio beach head.

Shaun has multiple severe health problems that some (many) probably know about. We used to sort of joke about our various ills in communications. It's not just his heart either. He probably should not have started this project.

Point taken there Tejszd, then there were areas where action flowed fast also, such as in Sicily.

I'd like Mooxe especially to take a look at this with regards to his questions on the AI. I had/have them also.
