This looks like an interesting and highly modable game not dissimilar to CC, it looks like it it will be single player only unless they do a lot of extra work on it in the future:
http://www.matrixgames.com/products/685/details/Armored.Brigade
Interestingly it has a large number of potential years for scenarios.
There is an old free version that is very similar but not as good version:

25 loaded magazines of 45! That and the four different knives seems OTT. What would this man do use his Garand as a club while he shoots with his 45? |

This was the one game that I was to a limited extent invloved in its development as a beta tester and a few other tasks. It was a whole head above CCM3 that had more flaws that things that worked but the release of CCMT still had way too many problems on its release that coincided with a melt down with the owners of the code at that time and a total public bitch up that just turned too many people away.
I tried modding the hell out of it but I still couldn't get it work how I thought it should most especially the crawl of death totally crap pathing and a number of other quirks that ruined it for me. If pathing issues and crawl of death was sorted that would be a big step up and if enough players had it to make multiplayer games possbile it would be a blast. That will almost certainly never happen now. The step down from CCM3 was that the AI never mounted vehicles in CCMT that was also never achieved in GTC. It is pretty scary when you get a load of troop transports converging on your location packed full of men.
TIK I totally agree with your analysis about features they should have kept in the other games. |

Here is a part of the 1/16th of the answer.
With GTC if have noticed too that men position themselves incredibly badly like your PIAT. This seems to be a general problem with crewed weapons (the PIAT is coded as a crewed weapon in this game) that has been observed for a long time and hasn't been sorted. Obviously within a team the crewed weapon should be positioned at the optimal point in the team and it often isn't. Specifically for the PIAT team in this game the team is composed of one or two men that have zero leadership and therefore a prone to behaving stupidly if there is no other team close by to influence them.
Work Around: More the team away, then try to re-insert them to the desired location.
Hint: with AT infantry let them choose when to engage and have a leader near by.
I think other have mentioned that the coding of the terrain elements is not great in GTC and there are mistakes, although the right click will reveal what the coding of the element is correctly.
LOS is often hard to predict for a certain location due to the effects of the terrain that may partially or totally block LOS. Experience of playing on a particular map has advantages.
The moral effect will depend on a number of factors, the settings for the battle group, how exhausted it has become, the moral of the units, and how much you have lost in the battle. The interaction of all these things does give surprising results and well I like that as life is not predictable. |

I really don't understand this observation at all. You can change the teams from the choices provided. |

There is a magic number that the number of crew can't go beyond which if I remember correctly is 6. CCMT is pretty cranky as a program. |

A very hard question to answer in a meaningful way. You could sort of answer it by looking at losses over multiple campaigns and divide that by the number of turns and the the average number of teams in play for when you are the defender or attacker overall in the campaign.
If I can afford to give up ground my losses will be small compared to when I can't afford to give up ground on the defence. My losses will also be large if I have to be very agressive to take some key ground in a critical period compared to an attack with limited objectives.
I am not entirely sure what the aim of your question is. |
