I heard this mod is quite good for H2H play. I have very minimal experience with CoI and DOF2.
Should we choose line vs line difficulty or is it called veteran?
I noticed time limit of 15 days, what happens when time runs out in an operation? Does the attacker lose or do you move to next op?
Any other tips for players new to CoI style of campaign? |

Unlike CC2 or CoI, in LSA, if you dont stand a chance against the foe you can flee the map during the strategic movement phase prior to battle. Otherwise, like similarly inept commanders through the ages, you'll have to fight and take your lumps as the punishment due your lack of operational artfulness
Its recommended to play with the Force Morale battle termination option 'ON'. This ensures that battles are not fought to "the bitter end". However, the FM option can be "gamed" by reducing your 15 team active roster to a single team (eg. a sniper), then sacrificing that team immediately after the battle starts. Thus you'll lose only that team and the requisite 3 victory locations.

This one squad force morale loss happened in our LSA GC with depleted airborne vs Panther BG that arrives later on. The german player attacked and just one AT squad tried his luck and died in seconds forcing morale loss. German player felt he was cheated and the American player should have taken the punishement like in old CC's. American player thought it was clever use of game mechanics. Or is it abusing game mechanics? Are there guidelines to use in these situations to make it fair and fun for both players? |

However I started the H2H GC but couldn't select other dates or times, did I do something wrong or is the GC broken?

Very strange, I've played the GC from beginning to end. Could you explain better the problem? What do you mean for "select data or times"? About bridges... sorry, no bridges! I cannot improve the bridge graphics, and the graphics when the bridge blows up!
Anyway... here is the mod. Admins allowed to upload on this site.

TO INSTALL THE MOD SIMPLY COPY IT INTO YOU CCLSA DIRECTORY, THAN MAKE A SHORTCUT TO THE CCE.EXE FILE AND ADD "\D WAR" TO THE LINK PATH. READ THE README.TXT BEFORE STARTING A CHAMPAIGN! ENJOY!!! HAVE FUN!!! LIFE IS SHORT, PLAY!!!

I mean the GC is locked to the first date and time. There are no arrows to select another date/time to see when reinforcements will arrive. I did a test by disbanding all BGs and the GC moved to next day and new BG arrived on the map so apparently it can continue but I would like to see the other dates×. Does it require a certain patch? Could you fix it? |

I agree with you, mortars should be powerful but the LSA mortars are RIDICULOUS. Instant fire and landing, super accurate, extremely powerful. Game ruining experience. I think LSA was quite fun otherwise. Maybe we'll visit it again. Perhaps with your LSA H2H mod, actually I tried a bit, the final 1.2 version. The mortars were very inaccurate, not as powerful, seemed quite okay after one game test. However I started the H2H GC but couldn't select other dates or times, did I do something wrong or is the GC broken? |

What weapons data are you using? I hope not the LSA's overpowerered mortars that obliterate everything they fire at, taking guns out with 1 shot, sometimes 2. The LSA mortars ruined our H2H LSA campaign. |

19th is starting next turn. Big mortars were giving so much grief to both sides so we decided to house rule them, max 1 big mortar and 1 small, or 2 small mortars. Working out fine so far.
Only few static BG's remain near nijmegen. I decided not to blow up most bridges in favor of getting more kills and whittling down the allied BG's, that propably was a mistake, we'll see how it turns out.
Allies at Arnhem have been pushed back, expecting another attack soon but I dont see how they will break through the SS line.
Graebner and fuestenberg are holding Nijmegen bridge and Beek, battles are ongoing in nearby areas.
Panthers decided it would be better to head to Nijmegen bridge and hold the line there. Ran into some firefly's on my way there and had to take a detour. It turned into a race after that. If they dont make it, abandon all hope? |

Have mortars had their accuracy and power reduced yet?

No. They are stupidly powerful. You have to house rule their usage to have any fun.
I would not recommend buying this game at its current state. Wait until some mods come along. |

We started out our campaign with green german and line allied. About 15 matches in so far. Most static BGs are overrun, some holding their ground. SS giving beating. Will report back later. |

What about balance?
We are both experienced CC players. If we were to choose recruit or green, which one? |

Great mod.
Is it safe to update from 1.6 to this one in middle of H2H GC?
Will you be making GT for Arnheim too? |
