southern_land, I am really sorry to hear of your lack of enthusiasm to continue work on Winter War.  Maybe you will find a new spark after a well-deserved break.  Smile

There has never been a NO-CD crack for CCII.  I have a copy of my purchased CD which I must use to start CCII.  Oh, plus to get CCII to run under Windows 7 64-bit I also must use the small program CC Starter.

southern_land, thank you for taking the time to explain in wonderful detail your method of pulling in Google Earth images into a map.  Good stuff!  It's a great learning tool that will help me in other projects, too!

Well.... it looks like I will purchase LSA to allow me to examine Pete and Buck's gorgeous new work.  I know that it will be worthwhile owing to the excellence of the Ortona and Scheldt mods.

... it's just a hit on my retirement budget.

Southern_land, I've waited 'till you've almost finished.... so, really great job on the Winter War maps!!!  Wish that they could be used in the CC5 version (I've still not purchased any of the new sims).

Uberdave, it is exactly as AT_Stalky said in his posts above.  D/L the two JavaVM files from the D/L area here.  Run version 3805 first and when it finishes installing then run version 3810.  BE SURE TO RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR!

Uberdave, I am also having fits with QClone right now.  I have been using it on my Win 7 64-bit laptop for the past few years.  I just recently purchased a new laptop with the same OS.  Right - QClone is not working on the new laptop.  I will continue to bash it around and find how I got it to work before.

I'll report back here when I find the method to fix it..... again!

PrivateRyan1, try this version 1.07 of Mafi's BTD Editor.  I am using Windows 7 64-bit and have not had to do anything special to get it to run.  The only caution I have for you is to NOT place this program in a folder under /Program Files/ or /Program Files (x86)/.

You're welcome!

Re-name the Romanian voices file to GGerVox.sfx and drop it into the LocalFX folder on your Real Romanians Mod.  Make certain that you set the Germans Speak: German within Options.

Drizzt, thank you for that information!

YES!  By re-naming the Romanian voices file to EGerVox.sfx for CC5 and selecting Germans Speak: English (which I hex edited to Romanian) .... I can hear Romanian spoken when playing as the Germans in:

for 2nd Kharkov - Krishtopovka and Petropalvoka
for der Kessel - Kletskaia, Raspopinskaia and Serafimovitch

Very cool !!!

The voice file also works fine with the COI Real Romanian mod

Will this Romanian voices file work with the CC5 version of 2nd Kharkov and Stalingrad der Kessel ?

I should re-name the file to GGerVox.sfx .... correct?

A very big "Thank you", Drizzt.

Dfox, I see the big picture now.  Thanks for all of your efforts on this Mod... looks to be a very beautifully made piece of work from your screen shots.   Just wish I'd be able to install it on regular CC5.

I have been using CC Starter for years.  This very small app disables Direct Draw before starting the any CC program... then it re-starts DDraw on exiting the CC program.  This is the best way that I've found to correct the jumpy scroll speed issue.

Will there be a way to use this new mod from Dfox with CC5?

I have installed all mods as "stand alone" folders using a manual install method... as HD space is really not an issue.

Dfox, may I suggest that you list the light German MGs as such:  Gb le.MG42 Trupp  instead of Gb lMG42 Trupp

For all of us still playing CC4 and VetBoB v1.13 by TT ....  just a note here that the new CC5 effects.azp works like a charm !!

Plus, as others have said... the CC3 and COI explosions from the new VFX.zfx are incredible !!

Thanks so very much ScnelleMeyer.
