Anyone tried playing this game? Just downloaded it and had a blast. Its very good its an igougo game and a rerun of the the old ssi game for dos. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/forumdisplay.php?f=139 that's the forum link to have a look at. The games are massive and free to downlooad.

I was doing it with an ethernet? cable and just plugged it into both laptops. How can we put it through the router? Iam guessing it can be done wireless then?

just wondering how i do a lan with 2 laptops? i have the cable plugged into both laptops and they are connected but not sure how we find each other in the actual game? its cc5

cd is fine i had to reinstall on mine and did that ok

i have the game on my laptop and was using the same game for his. its the original game i bought i few years ago.

hi all just trying to get cc5 to work on a friends laptop and hes on xp. the game will not install and stops at 84% saying component transfer error-
component : required data files
file group: graphics files
files: d:data2.cab
error : data error (cyclic redunduncy check)

any help would be appreciated .
also tried running setup in 98 and 95 but no good. cant do administrator because its asking for a password and we dont know it because his laptop was bought 2nd hand

Just wondering how a gc is won? I have never played through a whole gc so don't know what happens at the end. I've just started gjs gc as the germans so is it a matter of holding the allies off for a certain amount of time or killing all bgs or somthing different?

Iam sure this would have been disscussed before but iam on my phone and can't go through all the forum pages. Looking through all the mods and slowly downloading the mappacks/plugins I have seen some amazing maps obviously a lot of time has been put into these. I would not know where to start.
So Which is your favourite map of all time. Or if you want your fav attacking,defending or meeting engagment map.

still looks good imo. its just that it is not a re release so it will be a brand new campaign etc. not alot needs to be changed in cc, i like it the way it is (after the patches etc).
also is the matrix cc website anything to do with this one or is there different mods and maps on each? do the same people go to both forums?

Combine units? Can tld be played against cc5 on gameranger? Which one of the re releases would you get if you could pick one if you already had cc5? Is the campaign improved on the new versions?

If I have cc5 already what would I be gaining with lsa or tld? There loads of mods for cc5 but not a lot for the other 2 you mentioned? Or do they improve on cc5? Lsa is cc2 is it different to the cc5 mod?

this game is looking good. well the screen shots are. just getting back into cc (cc5) after a while away i was thinking of buying coi but after seing panthers in the fog i think ill wait. is anybody else excited about this?

iam reading a book by Joe Abercrombie called the blade itself, part of a trilogy pretty good so far. not a war book though but just finished beyond the beachhead by Joseph Balkoski which was a good read.

is there a place to log wins and loses? do people do that? i remember when i use to play cc2 they had a ladder or somthing, would be good to see who are vetrens and who are not so vetren so i dont end up getting my ass wooped so much

is there a way to invite non friends to play on gameranger? i know you can send a message but if i invite it says iam blocked due to not being on their friend list. only been online for a while so dont know everyone yet. add me if you want to win a game Confused
