Here`s a link to a Dutch site, it covers, in short, the history of the Prinses Irene Brigade. If you dont want to translate it using babblefish or something, you might have some use for the pics posted there. The other site is in English aswell.
At http://www.prinsesirenebrigade.nl/ , in the part about Grave, where the brigade was guarding the bridge, you see a picture of what seems to be a 2cm oerlikon, with the Grave bridge in the background, so I guess that's settled
Later on in the part about Walcheren, there is mention of a captured Oerlikon sinking 2 mini subs and knocking out a 3rd in the Schelde.
"Een post van Gevechtsgroep II nam met een buitgemaakt oerlikon de boot onder vuur..."
"A sentrypost from Fightinggroup II, opened fire on the boat with a captured oerlikon..."
Alltho it's not very relevant for Market Garden since they don't mention where or when it was captured, still a good score by the crew
Excellent site by the way, some very touching stuff there and very detailed.
Harsh but funny comment about a dutch SS soldier surrendering to the brigade. "Niet schieten, niet schieten, ik ben hollander" "Mooi, dan moet ik jou net hebben, pang"
Which translates to: "Don't shoot, don't shoot, I'm Dutch" "Good, than you are just the one I'm after, bang"
Chef- " I just wanted to learn how to fucking cook man!"

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
