Hi

ehm maybe that sounds newbish to many of you but what's the difference to play with or without the vet-submods? Is it a change of the BGs or an improvent of the AI (if even possible) ?

Thanks

I would say: both:

1) the enemy BG's have more numerous soldiers, until 10 for certain units)
2) the AI is also a little tougher.

I would also add that, quite surprisingly for me, a very large part of the players have found the H2H mod tough enough.... So, the Vetmods will only be for those who like to have their ass kicked!

Cheers

Hi

2 questions about vetmods:

1. If I play as Axis and want a tougher russian enemy, do I have to install the rusvetmod or the gervetmod?

2. Do I have to start a new game to have the benefit of the vetmod?

Thx

not sure bout 2, but i think yes you would have to restart.

as for wich vetmod, if you want to play as Axis you need the gervetmod, and vice versa.

1) The German Vetmod
2) Yes and no. If you don' t restart and play with your saved campaign and the new files, you will get the big russian teams (up to 10 soldiers) and the tougher AI. That's 80% of the submod! However, the number of russian units in each russian BG will not be increased (as it will be if you start a new game).

JUST A PERSONAL ADVICE: SDK and SDK vetmods will be updated to version 1.1 within two weeks or so. For those who want to keep their saved campaign, there will be no problem, they will "just" see some improvements in the gameplay and toughness in the vetmods. For this reason, for those of you who would like to sart another campaign with a vetmod, just wait until then and install at the same time the v1.1 and the v1.1Vetmods.

Cheers

Main improvements will be:

1) Tanks and vehicles will go a bit faster
2) Uniforms will have more different and more historically correst
3) Soldiers in buildings will have a slightly better protection and cover
4) Some btd's will be improved to better reflect the historical reality.
5) The Vetmods will have a more agressive AI

And tens of other minor things that I even not remember!

Cheers

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
