Heya all

Me and my cc-buddy got fed up with the lockups and crashes with cc5 and went back to CC2. We had played that campaign too many times and decided to use a mod this time - Afrika mod.

The readme said the campaigns aren't really working. Fair enough. So we got to playing single operations instead. However, we quickly discovered that many of the operations are really imbalanced.

I took a quick look of the files and found out that editing them requires a bit more knowledge of the engine than I have. Didn't find a tutorial on making operations.

Thus:

1) Can anyone point me to a good guide on making operations ?

2) Has someone already made a playable campaign for Afrika mod or balanced the single operations ?

Thanks in advance.

The 60 mile Op in Africa wasn't too bad a matchup.

But making an op requires a little bit of testing to check on balance. You need to get a feel for the abilities of each side and then set balance after tweaking it.

I made two ops - Operation Compass and Bardia/Tobruk that you might like. I've playtested both as internal team operations with other Desert Rat members.

You can download them here:

Italians are stronger than one might think since they have big teams and tons of guns and mortars. Brits are good but have tiny infantry teams and no cover for the tanks on most maps (at least the starting maps).

I have found that even if the armies aren't even, you can make the scenario even based on how many maps the strong/attacking army has to capture.

These ops are historically based (bgs/starting locations) so I'm not sure they're completely even but they were pretty close in our clan.

Those files from 7A_Bjorn won't work as they are meant for the CCV Afrika mod, not the CC2 one.

To answer you question check Mafi's site.

Check under guides.
