Gamespy Arcade displays ads to those who havent purchased a subscription. It also tracks your internet usage if you browse the web from within the GameSpy software. This software can be downloaded from this site and is included with most major CC5 mods. It requires user interaction for installation.

The CC5 patch gets a green tick next to it, so it's OK. It's the Gamespy download included in the mods that gets the yellow ! Gamespy sets off lots of antivirus software, but it is just Adware, not harmfull to the pc, just annoying to the user.

I was more suprised by the Online Affiliations section, who is techsmith.com?

Mooxe there is a box down the page for you "Are you the owner of this site"

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
