Playing mostly CC2 I am very unfamiliar with disbanding units in CC5. Playing
alot recently (Stalingrad/Der Kessel/S.O.C.) it is beginning to be a issue. I thought maybe some of you CC5 veterans can give me the low down. Sorry
if it has been asked and posted in the past.
My question is what actually happens when you disband a unit? If they have
no supply, what exactly is their ammo position? Do they reform in the rear?
How many troops do you loose, if any? Help me out some guys.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but basically the disband option is broken and doesn't work as it should.
For example when you disband out of supply it is stated in the manual that you will lose a lot of troops from the force pool, but in reality you only lose your selected troops. The disbanded BG will reform at an empty major supply depot the next morning.
If a BG is disbanded, only the units which had been destroyed in the battle were lost. The rest of the BG's focrepool will be available when the BG shows up at the depot on the following day. This is contradictory to what the manual said though. Clearly this is one of the CCV bug.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
of the great Close Combat mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank
all the members of our volunteer staff that have helped over
the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
