STATUS REPORT:

Sir I'm glad to report that after the first day of the soviet offensive, our lines are in very good shape. Our salient in the west is holding strong as are our positions in the city of Stalingrad itself. We have made the Soviets pay considerably for their gains, but have lost too much armor.

2 divisions have reformed in the designated supply depots and are on their way back to the front

The 113th is ordered to retreat to Bolsche Rossochka while our reformed Rumanian division is moving to Kasialinsk

Meanwhile the 524th in the South is retreating from Zybenko to Basargino

I am worried about our Southeastern front though. Our BG in the Grain Silo sector is cut off and the Russians have advanced behind our line from Petschanka to Alexeievka, threatening our supply to the 85th Rumanian division.

Issued by the Supreme Soviet...11th January

Comrades!........The glorious peoples army has now tested the mighty defences of the Fascist adventurers around the city named for our beloved leader Josef Vissarionovich.

These defences are starting to splinter under the blows of of our brave soldiers, now comes the time of reckoning comrades, let us go forwards and push these snakes from the surface of mother Russia.

Look to the future, and you will soon see them recoiling, for there is no power on earth that can resist our weapons in the hands of Soviet supermen, inspired by the certainties of Marxist-Leninist thinking!

Our Frontovik eagerly await the coming offensive, encouraged by the speechs of the Supreme Commander himself, (not to mention the Vodka ration Smile ).

Cheers
Ronson

Some Great battles in the past, looking forward to some more soon Very Happy thx.

Day 2 AM

Dimitrievka

Strategic Overview

The following forces were deployed into battle

The soviets have managed to make a small incursion into the village but our prepared defenses facing the west have held. We will continue to hold our line and attempt to push the soviets out of the village.

The soviets launched a 2 prong attack. One concentating on the Northern Bunker, the other by the Militia Office. The Militia office was deemed more important so our forces in the village concentrated their fire here, while our forces on the line concentrated their fire on the northern bunker.

Beginning of the soviet offensive

Both sides take heavy casulties in the village

In the end, we were able to halt the soviet advance into town but they managed to capture the northern bunker as well as the heights adjacent to our line.

Day 2 AM

Karpovka

Strategic Overview

The following forces were deployed into battle

Our defense was concentrated in town, expecting an attack from either north or south.

Our ultimate objective was to hold the all important supply road and our infantry was positioned to make sure this was the case. however an Enemy T-60 secured the road before our ATG could turn and fire. Our AT halftrack was called up to take care of the situation.

however, a lucky shot by the soviet tank struck the side of the halftrack before it could turn to fire, immobilizing it. It became a sitting duck and it was only a matter of time before the inevitable happened

We tried to counterattack with what we could at the end, but failed in recapturing the road. Our BG here, is now cut off.

Day 2 AM

Kasatschiy Kurgan

The following forces were deployed into battle

Once again, our defensive positions were set up in the town to provide maximum cover against the soviet armor.

The soviets advanced fast here this morning, possibly motivated by a speech from their commander General Ronson found on a captured prisoner. They advanced just within reach of town, knocking out a turret, and a halftrack. In all honesty, we can do very little to stop their advance.

Day 1 AM

Voroschilov

Strategic Overview

After our success yesterday, it was believed by Major General Lattmann that the soviets would attempt an infantry attack into town, and that our armor would be prime targets. It was decided that only 2 armor would go into battle, with a PZII for infantry support.

The bulk of our forces were positioned in town with our armor to the west.

As soon as the battle began, it was apparent our luck had changed. Our captured T34 began to duel with a KV1 and lost.

Our Stug was immobilized with half its crew killed by an artillery barrage.

An enemy T60 attempted to sneak along the ice but got a little to close to our infantry who ambushed the tank, destroying it.

We underestimated the ability of the soviet infantry and once they opened fire, our forces in the eastern section of town suffered. To prevent a breakthrough, they were ordered to retreat under cover fire from our PZII.

The enemy advance capturing the milita office in town and our PZII responded by opening fire, chopping them to bits.

They managed to cross the street on the eastern edge of town under the cover of smoke. Our PZII moved to get a better shot but fell victim from a lone survivor thought to be dead in the Militia Office.

By this time, infantry on the western side of town was rerouted to prevent a wide open breakthrough by the soviets. They succeeded in plugging the hole and limiting gains by the soviets.

Losses here this morning were atrocious, both in life and land. If we lose men and equipment at this rate, there will be nothing left in a weeks time.

Day 2 AM

Baburkin

Strategic Overview

The following forces were deployed into battle

Our forces were deployed in defensive positions with our Stug's deployed behind the hill.

The Soviets made a push for the hill but were easily repulsed with the limited cover they had.

In the end losses were light on both sides and the soviets gained little ground.

Day 2 AM

Saponovka

Strategic Overview

The following forces were deployed into battle

Our defense was divided between the northern and southern sections of town

The Russians made a push to the north into the northern section of town.

A grenade sparked off a chain reaction and a huge explosion engulfed the entire house that was under attack.

The russians took heavy casulties and we retained control of the town.

Day 2 AM

Novo Rogatschik

Sir, the following letter has been sent to our troops all along the front in order to increase morale

ATTENTION: By decree of our Furher, any unit, whether by indiviual or as a whole, who shows amazing fighting ability or overcomes tremendous odds will be awarded by being deemed Fighters of the Fatherland. This FF title will bring great honor to all who earn this award.

the first unit to earn this award is a Pillbox Team from the 376th. They have 12 kills, 2 wounded, 2 acts of bravery between 7 men.

Strategic Overview

The following forces were deployed into battle. We are fortunate as this battlegroup is still very strong and they are fightiing a very weak battlegroup consisting of milita and penal squads.

Our defense was concentrated in the town to the east to protect our HQ's and supply line.

We held the town after a brief firefight in the east. The soviets were cautious to advance because of our armor.

They attempted to advance to the west but ran into one of our reserve units who opened fire.

The russians fired back and they took heavy fire from the train station. Shortly after, private Flade went Berserk and left the trench to charge the enemy position.

Shortly after Private Emser and Private Ganz quickly followed his comrades lead and went Berserk and charged the enemy position.

Private Ganz was killed but Private Flade became Fanatic once he reached the enemy position and began to kill Russians with his bare hands.

All 3 were eventually killed and they have been recommended for the FF award killing 9 Russians and heroically charging the enemy position.

The Russians advanced taking the rail bridge as well as most of the casulties.
