Someone was busy on there today cutting off huge sections of Russians on the West side.

I noticed a bug on the Hamina map. You can get clear LOS through hills if a target is on the other side. Without a target LOS is shown as blocked.

There are no BG's in Cross of Iron.

The Strat map designer can use any map he likes to represent an area.

Operation Mars was the operation codename for the Rzhev offensive operation part of the Rzhev-Vyazma strategic offensive operation launched by Soviet forces against German forces during World War II.

It took place between 25 November-20 December, 1942 in a salient in the vicinity of Moscow.

How the operation is progressing as at 7/12/1942

As you can see...not good for the Russians...massive surrenders are imminent.

At what point do you get the error?

The smallest screen resolution in CC3 are 800*600. If you try to play with a smaller map, or set up the resolution to more than the map you want to play, you get "INVALID RECTANGLE ERROR" and the game will crash, boom, bang...

I think the smallest map in CC3 must be 840*600.

So , try lowering your screen resolution and see if that works.

Hello,

I got the same "Communication failure" as Searry, with a "Failed to get map !, java.io.EOFException ".
This happends after connecting to the 2109, when it asks for the full map update.
Didn't manage to fix it as Searry did.

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you get "INVALID RECTANGLE ERROR" when you try to view a map you could be dealing with a corrupt .ovm file. Did this happen when you tried to view the Wardin map?

Operation Mars server has been re-set after 1300 on-line battles.

A points victory was handed the the German side.

You will have to create a new commander

This means that you or your opponent have not set up your router or firewall to play h2h on the internet.

from this thread:

http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=1382293

You also must make sure your Firewall is allowing CoI to access the internet

CoI Ports
2300 to 2400 udp/TCP
6073 TCP
47624 TCP

A lot of routers , including D-Link, are easy set up as you just have to choose directctX 7/8 games from it's virtual server page and forward them to your PC.

For MMCCIII

Ports 1939 to 1945 and 2108 to 2110 must be open/forwarded in your router/modem for this app. to function correctly.

I try yesterday, and it worked. But: I follow the istructions, launch CC, go in multy, click "host ip", type the number wich MMCC give me, but i don't found the game. I wait and refresh more and more time.
All This for 3 time. After im abbandoned.
I play on line with "CC first to fight", "Americas Army", Dangerous Water", and i don't have problems.

I will try again
