What is your favorite mod and why?

For me I really like the Battle of Berlin- especially the
maps, but I like to play as the Germans and the Russian AI is very timid with
attacking. I also like Stalingrad, but haven't played that recently. Plain CC5
is OK for me too, but I'm not so fond of hedgerow fighting... and there are
alot of those.

What mod are you playing at the moment?

I am playing the Stalingrad mod and I am very impressed. Its a lot of fun. There are so many mods, it will take a long time to play all.

Battle for Berlin
Warhammer 40k
Winterwar

are the ones I will try next.

You can up the AI for the russians on BoB via the vetmod. also remember to set your level on elite, AI on recruit and never act on initiative ticked on your side.

ABTF is also a great mod.
Berlin is fave but its a little disappointing graphics wise.

I like a lot the Winter War mod of CC 5. And that's because the classic CC 5 - Invasion Normandy has a lot of bugs. For example : you can fire a bazooka from within a house or a building which is false. Only now the sweeds have come up with a rocket propelled graned launcher that is able to fire from a room. So the Winter War Mod is the perfect one for me and is the definition of CLOSE COMBAT. Play it and you will understand way!!!!

UTAH.

I like the original maps. The new sounds and super fun high calibre rapid firing units make it awesome.

Utah and GJS TRSM for attacking vs AI.
SDK, SOC and Berlin (Vetmod) for defending against AI.
Okinawa is good fun too...as US/attacking.

I;ve just been introduced to the Meuse and I'm loving it. I found the Battle of Berlin a real step back from CC5, but GSJ is absolutely awesome.

I havn´t played by far all existing mods and I concentrate on Off-44´Europe-topic-mods. After all those years Tiger vs Sherman - actions make me tired . I really like The Ebro mod, which I suppose is the first pre WII mod and also like Okinawa. Looking forward to Andima´s Gallipoli, Squadleader´s Surabaya and to some more freetime to take on a CC5 Vimy Ridge or Cambrai Mod.

Two things which always claims plus points from me is the mod´s atmosphere and thoroughly researched historical background (maps, weaponry). I tend to edit a mod further for private use, when I think it need some correction (minor bucks, inaccuracies). At the moment I have fun with SOC on WLAN.

Our likes are very similar :Cool . I wish more mods had the ultra aggressive
AI like SDK and SOC, would even make regular CC5 amazing.

GJS is excellent, great maps and battle groups
