I don't think error code=5 was ever solved (basically Config Manager refusing to copy files).
It happened on WinXP machines also.
I would suggest manual install of the mods? |

C:ProgramFiles\SSI\close Combat Invasion Normandy\CC5Exe(Error code=5)

Try running cc5.exe and/or CfgV13.exe in compatibility mode and as Administrator |

Panzermyer if you have made it here i had a problem getting my mods to install Schrecken pointed me in the right direction.
this is what i did I changed my Exe to windows 98 i lost my multiplayer. So I went back and changed both my configuration manager and my CCV exe to "Windows server 2003 (service Pack!) and I also checked the box that says"Run this program as an administrator" my multiplayer returned.
all i had to do was......
bring up the properties window for both the ccv exe and the CfgV13 goto compatibility and make sure both are set to the same mode. Like I said I also checked the box that says (Run this program as an admin)
mine works fine now and i have multilplayer back.
I hope this will help some vista users..
again thanks to those people who helped me figure this out I appreciate it very much. |

I think this boils down to a permissions issue. The C:\Program Files\ folder is unwritable to all users but administrator, atleast thats the default config. So like Schrecken said, running Config Manager as admin will fix it. |

yes that will fix it. This is how it worked for me.
I have to run my CfgV13 as administator. But my CCV EXE you can leave the administrator off. Other wise it will not launch the game becuase it will need permision. I know this through trial and error.
Also people having problems with with there multiplayer disappearing is or was simple fix for me. I changed it to windows 98 and lost the multiplayer. I switched back to Windows Server 2003(Service Pack 1) for both my CfgV13 and my CCV EXE and it came write back.
I am off and playing online with out any problems. |
