I am suggesting automatically assigning unit shortcuts according to your 'unit roster'. So your first unit will be automatically assigned to key 1. Even if you assign certain shortcut to specific unit e.g. 5 = mortar team it is easier doing this in your unit list that during setup each time.

Secondly when a vehicle is hit, a (optional) message should display describing what area and the damage result. E.g. 'Lower front plate, flaking' same as what Combat Mission displays. Both are small changes but will result in a richer experience I believe.
