This was the Russian plan after the victory over the Finnish army at the Isthmus.

The left wing (21 st Army) was to advance against Helsinki. New roadsigns for the capital was allready made.

As you know it never happend.

Hi sapa,

actually, that's not correct.

The initial operation plan consisted of 3 stages (9-10 days each):

1stage: Vyborg - Hejnajoki line.
2stage: Virojoki - Imatra line.
3stage: area of river Kymijoki.

after that Finland should have been out of the war against USSR and Leningrad front was to set defence against the possible German counterattack.

so there were no plans for taking Helsinki Smile.
as for roadblocks they should have been there in Russian as i doubt that many soldiers could read latin letters Smile.

I am sure many plans were drawn up for that offensive.

No!
Finland stays unconquered.

During the russian last offensive finnish officers were already hiding guns to countryside. That we could start guerilla war if russians had penetrated our last defensive lines.

The Soviet plan for the offensive on Finland. First the Leningrad Front troops would attack on Karelian
ishtmus (1.). After they take Viipuri, the Karelian Front attacks both from River Syväri and Maaselkä
isthmus (2.). Then the Leningrad Front troops advance to the Saimaa waters and River Kymijoki (3.).
When the Germans start sending help to the south, the attack begins in the north (4.). Then the Leningrad
Front troops continue to Helsinki. Phases 3., 4. and 5. were not started. Source: Alanen - Moisala,
