Hey guys,

I need a bit of your help... im looking for sources to locate maps and aerials etc made between 1930 and 1950 on the following list of towns:

Antwerp area:
Merksem
Brasschaet
Maria ter Heide
Kalmthout
Essen
Kapellen
Brecht
Rijkevorsel

Brugge area:
Hoeke
Oostkerke
Watervliet
Knokke

And ofcourse if you have maps or aerials of these towns i ofcourse would like to have a look at them...

If you are short of everything but enemy, you are in the combat zone.

Hey Buck,

All i could find about Merksem is this foto from around 1960, the main road is the Bredabaan where most of the fighting took place in 1944 but it looked different in 1944 than on this foto..the blarge building you see behind the church is the new town hall wich was build after the war.ill keep looking for more usefull pictures..

Isn't there a Belgian official government site, or some kind of national archive to host these images? I'm sure they must be there, in the paper version at least.

Try here and send them an email: www.ngi.be

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
