Is there any point having this topic? It doesnt appear as if anything is gonna happen. I would be willing to pay several hundred dollars for another go at this game. that may sound extreme but this was one of the best games i ever played. there are games with million dollar budgets nowadays that can't hold a candle to it and there are plenty of b grade games ive bought for a hundred bucks. Iknow im ranting but geez i wish something would come of this.

Erik Rutins said "The CC2 re-make is well underway, we'll have some news on that soon."

This is from this thread on the Matrix forum: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2413368&mpage=1&key=&#2465025

There's an announcement on the Matrix forum to expect news in about a month.

The CC II re-release will be great but it's what comes after that that interests me!

If the maps are BIGGER than Cc2 limit, well ytou can cut map down, BUT if the maps are bigger than CC2 size, then this will be a poor product as its been agreeed to repeatedly the small sized maps are key to why CC2 is so good, superior in playability (especially with AI) and loved so much in the community.

And they surely give the taste of Netherland's "claustrophobia" (if compared to France, let alone USSR).

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
