Hello,

I remember seeing a film many years ago about a lone Gebirgsjager who had not surrendered after the war. Set in Austria with snow  one scene explained how he had been captured by the partisans and tortured. It was in colour and possibly made in the 1960’s.Can anybody tell me the name of the movie Question The start of the film I think had two Americans driving along a mountain road in a Jeep.

Regards,

Len. :

Hi Verba,

No information on a movie called Gebirgsjäger on the net. The movie was based on a book as far as I know.
Also he did a lot of Skiing had the rank of private and was armed with a Kar 98 rifle.

Thanks for the help Verba but that's not the one. I think the
soldier could not talk a 1960's movie set post war I think and he had not
surrendered but he was known in the local village.

I cannot find any info after numerous Google keyword searches.

Happy Christmas.
