We have this long standing rule in CC5 campaigns (from 14 years ago) to always press command after a battle. This ensures losses are saved. If you press next in a battle the game doesn't save losses and you have all your units back.

I thought I'd look into it. I tested in a custom op in single player. I chose a strong German unit in GJS that had panthers to make this quick. Up against an Allied BG with Sherman II's. First battle I killed 10 Shermans, clicked next and made it back to forcepool selection. Allies were indeed missing 10 Shermans. My next test was with infantry. Allies took 10 two man bren teams. I killed two, and next battle they only had eight left.

Anyone remember how this bug was reported?

Yeah I think it was H2H only. I am going to test it between my two pcs here.

My multiplayer test of this within an operation did not show the bug. Hmmm...

Also reconfirmed bug about joiner not being able to see muzzle flashes. Was this fixed in rereleases?

Muzzle Flash Bug

CC5

Host cannot see muzzle flashes from units that have not been spotted that are more than 60m away. Once host's units get under 60m, muzzle flashes are seen, even though units are not spotted. Muzzle flashes are seen until enemy unit becomes un-spotted.

Joiner never sees host's muzzle flashes, ever.

TLD

Host cannot see muzzle flashes from units that have not been spotted that are more than 60m away. Once host's units get under 60m, muzzle flashes are seen, even though units are not spotted. Muzzle flashes are seen until enemy unit becomes un-spotted. (identical to CC5)

Joiner sees muzzle flashes exactly like host. (bug fixed)

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited and
found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some of the great Close Combat
mods and our forums. I'd also like to thank all the members of our volunteer staff that have
helped over the years, and all our users that contributed to this site!
