Hello,

I have a decent knowledge of editing from previous CC games, but I'm finding PITF exceptionally difficult to mod the units.  I am curous, for example, why the first platoon in some battlegroups has a full compliment of units, but the second unit only gets a couple sots with no platoon commander.  Also, how do I add slots to the support units?  A lot only have 3.  I am having trouble deciphering the forcepools and unit structure files.  They don't seem to make any sense to me, and quite honestly they seem way too complex... divisions, battalions, companies, platoons... etc... is that all necessary?

Help me make sense of this all!  I just want to add teams to the Battlegroups so I can have larger battles.

Thanks!

Your questions require an entire guide to address, but my quick suggestion is that you forget about all the battalions, brigades, and division structures and just stick to the company-level organization. This is the heart of the game organization. Compose your companies and then arrange them/identify them as required at the forcepool level.

Support units slots are dependent on the number of companies.  Eight companies or more provide you all seven support slots.  The other supply slot thresholds go down between 8-5, 5-3, and less than 3.

Thanks for the reply!  I did eventually figure this out and have been able to enable all 21 slots.  I find this game version's forcepool and unit structure files completely cumbersome but not impossible to navigate.

One of the big problems with the newer fpool structure in LSA , PiTF and GtC is that you can only change the quantity of units at the different difficulty levels not the unit type itself like CC5, WAR and TLD.
