Company Commander Mod is a sub-mod of Zonbie's WFv10 Mod. It adds new explosions, art and music and has the Company Commander Grand Campaign built in. Install this plug-in and the Map Pack and you will be ready to play by selecting it under Historical Campaigns.

*Bonus File: In addition you can install Company Commander Grand Campaign plug-in in order to play the campaign side by side with the 2007 WFv10 Mod in modswap or other custom mods. For example install Company Commander_Grand Campaign and then install Western Front v10.

Company Commander will be a new Grand Campaign for The Western Front v10. The player starts as a 2nd Lt and Fights 16 Ops from Normandy to Germany. Previous Campaigns for WF include.

Thanks for the kind words! It was a pleasure to create and test. I hope those who take the time to play it enjoy it. One of the cool aspects of Cross of Iron is how your individual soldiers survive, gain rank and awards, it is a really fun aspect of the Grand Campaign. I enjoy playing Company Commander with 15 minute turns/days. I like the options it gives the player to play it your way for the challenge vs the AI or H2H. When playing Germans vs AI you get interesting results on the first Op Overlord by offering the Allies a cease-fire early so that they can hit the beach in multiple waves like the historical invasion. I am looking forward to reading about your feedback and experiences playing Company Commander. Thanks for your interest!

Played a number of Ops and here are my observations: defenders do not get enough requisition points. It is no fun being attacked with a force ratio of 1:4 in points. Initially I played as Allies attacking and those battles turned into a kind of seek and destroy missions. Then I found a scenario where the Germans are the attacking force and the same problem occurred. First I thought it was because of the size of the maps but I quickly realized that the defending sides just do not get enough points.  I would like to see a better balance. I don't mind defending with an inferior force, because that is part of the challenge, but a 1:2 point ratio would make it better.
Other than that, I like the charme of COI. It is refreshing to be playing with a handful of units. I have never played the Western Front mod for COI but I can see that it was designed with the intention of providing as much variety in units and weaponry as possible.
Thanks again for creating the mod. I'll keep playing it for little while longer  Wink

Thanks for playing Company Commander Pete and your observations. The actual point balance for the first four ops are equal points for each day/turn and when advancing into new maps. The only time points are unbalanced is day one of each Operation to generally reflect the historical situation and give the attacker an initial punch. I consider the German side the underdogs of the Campaign as was the situation historically.
