Here's the situation on August 8th, the 304PzGr/2 SS have to battle on and on and on against armoured formations, it has 3 Pz V, all veterans. The 2PzGr/2SS has 4 Pz IVH and is keeping the left flank of the 304th. Finally the 3PzGr/3SS is apparently the more direct unit to attack Avranches but only has 2 Grille's. Any suggestions on the axis of attack I should take? Or wait until the 2PzRgt/2 SS (it has 4 or 5 Pz V and is 2 to maps behind the 3 PzGr/2SS) arrived?.
Is my very first campaign on PitF and frankly I'm a bit disorientated. Any help will be appreciated

Ok, I will offer my views on this although I have not played a lot of PITF yet.
options I see:
2.Regt/2SS
1. Attack North to defeat US Armoured Battalion.
2. Attack WEST to LA BOLOUSE risking that one of the enemy units in the NORTH cuts supply line by moving into the empty LA VIEUX BOURG.
3. Move SOUTH to follow in trace of 3.Regt/2SS when it attacks - This could later enable you to have 2 units attacking and units can be rotated to give the enemy no pause.
4. Stay where it is for now and guard flanks of 304 and 3.Regt.
3.Regt/2.SS
1. Attack WEST
2. Move NORTH to occupy LA VIEUX BOURG if/when 2.Regt/2SS attacks WEST.
3. Stay where it is.
Generally I would not wait for the PzRegt to arrive. The Germans dont have much time so I would attack with whatever forces I have - even infantry vs armor if the map Im attacking into makies it possible at all. I would start wearing the enemy unit down with arty, mortar and infantry while taking VLs.

In August of 2004, Zappi, Homba, Bambam887, RedScorpion and MOOXE all pitched
in to create this Close Combat site. I would to thank all the people who have visited
and found this site to thier liking. I hope you had time to check out some
