After 11+ years I reinstalled CC5 to play this wonderful mod. I'm in the afternoon turn of the first day of the campaign. Here a pic at Neu Barnim. I kinda think that the Command Post VL is the key to hold this map as long as I can. It got pretty messy but I could hold this positon and KO 2 tanks

It is one of my favorite mods. It is already an excellent mod. I just wish this mod would be a little refurbished, for example the weapon sounds from standard CC  weapon sound database (someone has shared his work on google drive and they were excellent). Besides, Tank images could be tweaked for insignia of russian tanks. I would also love to see tanks with spring metal beds attached to their turrets against panzerschreck HEAT Very Happy

Thankyou for the kind words  Very Happy
This mod should really need a version 2. It was my first attempt to modify CC5 back in 2005.
Didnt know at the time how important it was to use the 5.01 Exe file (its made with the 5.00 Exe) and thats the reason why its not playable in MP or lan.
Same thing with the single battle crashes, the solution for that one was discovered later.

It needs new tanks, new sounds aso. The only good thing with it is SouthernLands maps but maybe these too needs som work.  Wink
Unfortunately, i have neither time nor desire to continue any work on it....

Thanks!

Mats

btw "spring metal beds"  Smile

Frankly, I REALLY like the sound. After 2 or 3 battles in a row, you start to feel how it feeels being under constant Russian artillery. Plus the background sound with those Katyushas ALL the time makes you feel that you're gonna get destroyed not matter what. So after 12 years still a wonderful mod to play, the rest is just cosmetics.

I started years ago on version 2 but because private reasons didnt have the time to finnish it...

I had plans to rework the Base files and get some other battlegroups for example the French Charlemange SS unit and i dont like the look of the vehicles.

Anyway...its really nice that someone stills play it  Very Happy

Hi Sapa - yes please keep the faith in a Version 2 for TLD or rewrite.  This was a great mod one of my favorites.  Maybe you can share your files for someone else to help you finish?

Either that are you can make a USO mod about the unidentified sub's that Swedish navy keeps finding in the Baltic since the 60's.  Very Happy

Probably. At Golzow there are 2 bunkers that are virtually indestructible. I put my 2 PaK 40 inside and you see the results. I think that later in the campaign the Russians will be attacking the Reichtag while I'll be stopping them at Golzow.

Btw, nice bunkers  Wink

This was one of the first CC5 mods I installed seven or eight years ago when I got back into CC. It was great fun to play!

It's too bad you don't have time to update because it was a great piece of work on your part, Sapa.

Thanks for making it in the first place.
