Hi,

I want the edit the 1940 mod

I have the pln file but the question how can "open" it so I can edit the base files?

The idea is to change the Polish team into
Dutch teams

Changing the original operations into 1940 ones:
Battle of Rotterdam, airlandings at The Hague, Moerdijkbridge and the race of the 9th Panzer to "rescue" the encircled fallschirmjagers.

Excellent idea for a mod given the similiarities between the German 1940 campaign in Holland and Market Garden. I have wanted to do a mod on the subject for a long time. If you can use help than pm me.

Thank you Pete.

I think the original cc2 maps could be "usefull" for the Dutch campaign

Arnhem bridge - Rotterdam Willemsbridge
Nijmegen City - Dordrecht
Nijmegen bridge North acces - Moerdijk bridge
Small town Maps like Oosterbeek, Schijndel - Moerdijk, Valkenburg, Katwijk
Arnhem Suburbs - Rotterdam City/Noordereiland
Groesbeek and Oosterbeek landingzones - Waalhaven and Ypenburg/Ockenburg/Valkenburg
The Tullipfields - highway between Moerdijk and Dordrecht

The weapons of the Germans and French (failed attack to recapture the Moerdijkbridge) are correct but for the Dutch we need for example the Lewis gun. In the great war mode there is a Lewis gun. Possible to copy the Lewis gun to the 1940 mod?

I think as we can "give" the Dutch the right weapons, it is good possible to make a Dutch campaign

Don't worry about the gun data, I believe I have still got them. Re-using old CC2 maps would be my concern. Why don't you check other mods or stock games for maps that can be used, in reduced form or with switched orientation?
I have just uploaded images of the converted Schelde maps on my fb page. Check them out to see if you find anything useful. Also, please contact me on my fb to start communicating outside this forum. Link below.
