note: Cathartes converted GJS to LSA June 6, 2013 ... which was version 6.0 beta. Thanks to him and everyone else who created the original GJS mod.

Gold Juno Sword 9.1 for LSA

I wasn't intending to update this past version 9.0, but buuface came up with a good idea that makes it possible to move all the German BG's back to Major Depots ... and therefore, they will return to the Strategic map after being disbanded.
And with help from Steiner, German BG's were re positioned and tested.

GJS 9.1 also includes some tweaks for some things that were noticed while playing version 9.0

Helpful documents:
Battle Group info document and printable Strategic map (with map names).
In Help folder:
C:\Matrix Games\Close Combat Last Stand Arnhem\DATA\Help

I created a document that outlines a basic strategy for moving German BG's to the Front Line ... using Steiner's strategy. This document also includes a ranking system. Document title is: LSA GJS 9.1 German Battle Groups Guidance
I'll add the text to this topic.

New for version 9.1

Battle Groups:
German Battle Groups (BG's) arrival to the Stategic Map have been moved back to Major Depots. This enables them to respawn, if they get disbanded.

Weapons:
Vickers - very slight decrease of kill rating
PIAT - Kill rating back to GJS 6.0 value of 102, and Long Range decreased to 90 m
Mortars - accuracy increase, and slightly quicker firing time
German 10.5 cm and 15 cm - slight increase Blast Radius

Allied Teams:
PIAT - Two man team, expect Canadian which is Three man team

Force Pools:
26 12. SS Pz. Div. - Reinforcement scedule deleted
KG Meyer - Reinforcement scedule deleted
KG Luck - one Reinforcement only

Artillery and German Airstikes:
German Air strikes back in game
Allied Artillery strikes reduced

Difficulty setting note:
Use Line vs. Line - for more even game play
Use Allied Line vs. German Veteran - for historical game play

Gold, Juno, Sword mod 9.1 Install instructions:
Install LSA, update to the latest patch

1. Close Combat Last Stand Arnhem game
2. LSA patch version: v6.00.01

3. Install LATEST modswap, will not work with older one:

4. Create a folder in "C:\Matrix Games" and name it "Plugins"
5. Then put the "LSA_GJS_v9.1_plugin.lsa" file in the "Plugins" folder
6. Double click on "CCModSwap.EXE"
7. Select "File", then click "Install"
8. Double click the ""LSA_GJS_v9.1_plugin” file
9. click "OK" to install

Battles, Operations, Campaigns:
After installing GJS 9.1, you launch the game using the regular CC LSA icon (menu).

The main focus of the mod is the Grand Campaign. It's in the Campaigns tab ... DDay Historic H2H

There is also two Operations ... Fighting the 12SS and Operation Perch
And one Battle ... Villers Bocage

Strategic map moves guidance and Combat Effectiveness rating
Information listed for each Battle Group (BG):
Date of arrival on Strategic map
BG name, Combat Effectiveness Rating number, Arrival map, suggested “move to” map.

Combat Effectiveness Rating:
note: plus sign (+) after rating number, indicates BG has PanzerSchreck infantry
note: P or T after rating number indicates Panther or Tiger in BG
note: V after rating number indicates an armor BG has a Vehicle column

5: more than five Panthers/Tigers or Tanks with Vehicle column
4: more than ten Tanks /Assault Guns/ Tanks Destroyers or less than five Panthers/Tigers
3: less than ten Tanks, and/or Assault Guns/ Tanks Destroyers, or (small number of late arriving Panthers)

buuface put together some battles and ops for LSA GJS 9.1
It's a plugin file and can be installed using ModSwap ... Install GJS 9.1 first.

note: Battles and Operations are easy to locate "in game" ... since they all start with "GJS"

From the readme file:

July 2020
LSA_GJS_9.1_BattlePack1

BattlePack1 has Battles and Operations for LSA GJS 9.1
The Plugin file installs the Battles and Operations into CC LSA "Battles" and "Operations" Menu tabs "in game".

Note: LSA GJS 9.1 mod is required to be installed first ... before BattlePack1

After LSA GJS 9.1 mod is installed:
1. put the "LSA_GJS_9.1_BattlePack1_plugin.lsa" file into your "Plugins" folder, (where GJS 9.1 Plugin file is located).
2. Then launch CCModSwap
3. click file
4. click install
5. double click the "LSA_GJS_9.1_BattlePack1_plugin.lsa" file
6. click Ok

Thanks very much for working on this mod, but I've noticed some bugs on Win 10 with the 6.00.00 version of LSA. When GJS is installed, I'm unable to open some of the original battles (the game crashes), nor view the map from the main screen. This includes these battles:
Arnhem Heights
Arnhem Bridge
Johanna Hoeve Farm

I haven't tried to open every battle yet, but these are one that I've so far found that have a problem. Also, Boot Camp cannot open either (not that this issue bothers me).

The game crashes because those battles are not GJS maps, they are stock LSA battles. This is not a bug, it is as expected.

Get the newest version of GJS (9.1) and then also get the battle pack that mooxe has posted above. With the battle pack you can run any battle or Op that starts with GJS_... without crashing.

Don't play any stock LSA stuff ... or it will crash to desktop, and you will need to relaunch the game.

After you install GJS 9.1 there is available to play:

Everything works fine with GJS 9.1 and BattlePack1 - understand one either plays the original games or GJS. I don't have 6.00.01 installed anymore, only 6.00.00 as the latest version crashes every time.  Thanks for your response and your work on this mod - it's great!
