You don't want BHQ.
You'll want to use GameRanger.

Have a look at the Workbook for WAR's Stock Mod.
It's broken down in very simple easy to understand pages.
Even you could understand it.

BTW, IIRC...Sapa created some modified conifers that don't look like Warcraft trees...highly recommended.
