Ortona beta players please post your comments and remarks in this thread. As I wrote in the readme there are some issues that I am aware of:
MG34 sound ends with a click. Same for Vickers MMG.
Stone Fence element blocks los completely . Works sometimes but mostly it annoys me.
Some unit icons are incorrect.
Mud element might be too slow for most people's tastes. However, historically the muddy terrain was a major problem for the mobility of both sides' armor.
Playing as Elite you may find unit allotment too restrictive although it is intended to make campaigns and operations more difficult.
Some minor errors in (height) coding.  
And of course the notorious multiplayer bug.

I'm not sure if it is intentional or not, but on the San Leonardo map the haystacks explode (like gas barrels) when hit by mortar fire.

Almost forgot about the haystacks. They explode because I was looking for a way to burn them completely to the ground and this is the only way but I intend to change that back to the stock CC5 coding.

Thanks to Tripwire for pointing out some spelling mistakes in the various interface screens and better yet even correcting them and creating new files ! Much appreciated Tripwire!
He also added Cpl Filth's health indicator heads which look better than the standard CC5 version.

Noticed these 2 points with the install.txt after doing the installation manually;
1) "Moro Delta Crossing" file is copied twice
copy $THIS\Moro Delta Crossing $CC\Data\Ops\Moro Delta Crossing
copy $THIS\Moro Delta Crossing $CC\Data\Battles\Moro Delta Crossing

2) "Vino Ridge" is not copied anywhere

3) "Villa Jubatti" is copied to the Battles folder instead of the Ops folder.

Thanks Tejszd for identifying those errors. In fact I created a single battle "Moro Delta Crossing" and an operation "Moro Delta Crossing" but it is the operation that is copied twice.


@ Tripwire: Villa Jubatti was designed as a single battle and it should be copied to the Battles folder. It was properly copied in my Battles folder.

What is your opinion on the 'stone fence' coding. Should I leave it like it is or change it back to stock cc5 so that it no longer completely blocks LOS ?

Been working on the update this past week. We got most things covered but the stratmap issue remains unfortunately because noone seems to know how to resolve this.
The plugin needs to be rewritten because it does not repack the map index file properly. If it had not been for the plugin we would have released it today, now it's going to have wait until after my vacation.
