This has never happened to me. I haven't played in a while but recently got the itch. Loaded up Reg CCV with additional support sub-mod. Game wouldn't start. Thought it was strange but then loaded GJS with German AI vetmod. This came up:

Unable to open the file C:\Program Files\SSI\Close Combat Invasion Normandy\Maps\Hill125.btd

I think I tried to download a mod or two like Kharkov and Africa... but couldn't a few weeks ago.

Now this... how could this happen and what can I do to fix? Help!!!

The game is stating it can not find the file.

That map is not part of CC5 but part of the GJS mod.

Did you unzip the GJS mod maps to the CC5 maps directory? Check if the file is there? Maybe it went into a sub directory or did not decompress properly (is it in the GJS map pack)?

Yeah just like Tejszd said. Take the error message as literally as possible. It can't find the map because the map is not there.

Do you guys have any idea why/how this happened?

This hasn't happened before and I have been playing on the same computer without any difficulty for like 10 years.

How do I fix it?

Hi dgfred. like our 2 friends above said.....add the map....its not there. reload the map pack..........check the map pack for the map 1st....perhaps the map pack was corupted when u DL' ed it?

I just don't understand how the map would disappear... I've been playing both GJS and Reg CC5 for years and never had this before.

OK... I found the map but unlike the others it reads Hil1125 instead of Hill1125.

When I tried to start the game it reads: unable to find Hill 1125 instead of what I posted above.

Is it supposed to be HILL 1125 or HILL 125?

Don't know how that happened but will try to fix... with alot more advice. Wink

You should uninstall CC5, and start from scratch.

Would I have to delete all my mods/sub-mods and start all over downloading them too?

Keep the PLN files in your Config Manager Folder. Make sure all mods are uninstalled.
