Has anyone made it through a battle with the hellcat light TD, without it either getting damaged or destroyed from enemy mortars or crew injuries from enemy small arms? I think I have had a small number survive but it is like 8-10 are destroyed. Being engaged with mauser rifles and stg-44 over 200yrs away... getting crew casualties constantly Rolling Eyes I put my tank in ambush mode when mortars come in and it doesn't help. The hellcat is worthless I put it down the road to watch the straightaway and still collects mg or mortar fire. Regardless of speed it won't help much if constant casualties from small arms across map. This may be just the moral or experience of crew but not even any return fire. I will not allow them if crew isn't experienced into battle now.

I usually put open carriage tanks in ambush mode(for side armor hits) or watching down a long street or roadway but once an enemy sneaks into a building where it can see it, it gets bad.

Mortars in the original game of WAR are very over powering.

I've managed to tone them down some with the Stock Mod that's available in these forums.
But the next version of Stock Mod will however do a much better job.

Cool, so after a decade or so, we finally get toned down mortars for Bulge, but you didn't really complete the job, so now we have to wait for another version?

Actually, I have been making "my" human player only mortars more accurate. It's pay back for the AI.  Laughing

Yup that's pretty much it.
But atleast you don't have to pay for it.

I take this partially back as the crew were green horns.
